Just A Bittersweet Memory

Chapter 20- In Italy

(Mia's point of view)

Me and Lewis went directly to the hospital as soon as we arrived at the airport. Red together with Neo, Airy and Devan went straight to Lewis' house. It was my first time to fly in a private jet and also my first time to set foot not on the moon but in Italy.

I never thought that I would be here with my Superman. I was happy, but seeing him in this situation, made me feel useless. I hoped that I could ease the pain from those wounds. Cleaning his wounds made him flinched. I assisted the nurse in cleaning and dressing. Sometimes he asked me to do it instead of the nurse. The nurse taught me so that I can do the cleaning and dressing by myself.

Never noticing the days that passed by, his few broken bones, chest bullet wound, abrasions and bruises were completely healed. His parents visited him everyday and they were now fixing the discharge papers so that we could go home after the last series of tests.

Airy and Devan went home after staying for a week here in Italy. They said that they will keep me updated with our projects and exams. Red and Neo visited us every weekend.

When we arrived at their house, their maids, chefs, butlers, guards and other men of his dad were very welcoming. I was treated like a princess. Their house was literally like a modern castle filled with plants and and paintings. I saw their big family portrait hanging on the living room. They were dreamy. They were attractive like vampires that made you follow whatever they command.

My family called a few times, they knew that I was here for few weeks. They trusted me and they liked to meet Lewis someday.

After dinner, we went to our respective rooms. I went for a shower and wore my pajamas. The lavender tank top and a lavender shorts. After texting my friends. I fell asleep.

In the middle of the night, I heard the door opening. A man was walking towards me. He was just wearing his boxer shorts. Water was dripping in his rock hard abs that made me realized that he just came out of the shower. I said,"What are you doing here in my room Superman?"
He answered, "I can't sleep without you by my side sweet pea."
I said with a confused voice, "Why are you shirtless?"
He answered, "You are hot sweet pea!I mean the room is hot!"
I replied, "Stop teasing me!".

He carried me instantly and pinned me on the wall. I wrapped my legs around his waist and my hands around his neck. I was breathing fast and heavily. I extended my neck to give him an easier access. I imagined a vampire sucking a blood on its prey. I closed my eyes and felt the heat but then, we came back to our senses because there was a loud knocking at the door.

We heard a voice saying, "Lewis darling! Are you and Mia ok there?"
Lewis opened the door and answered, "Yes Mom! We're fine!"
She said, "Oh sorry son! Did I disturb you? I was knocking for twenty minutes and you were not responding so I was worried!"
Lewis replied, "We're just busy mom!" His mom said, "Ok kids, I'll leave you two but don't do anything stupid and Lewis please put on your shirt son!"

We both laughed because we're caught in the moment. We decided to cuddle until we fell asleep. I thought I will gonna have my first kiss tonight.

The sun was shining brightly, Lewis' mom prepared a delicious breakfast. They have a lot of workers but she loved cooking for his family.
His father was talking to Ben when I left the kitchen. Lewis told me that Ben is his father's best friend and second in command. I really wanted to ask Lewis why he was shot but I guess I'll asked him some other time.

Lewis wanted me to explore some parts of Italy today. When I saw him he said, "Sei bellissima oggi, (You look beautiful today),sweet pea!".
I answered, "Grazie (Thank you), Superman!".
He smiled and asked "Why do you know how to speak Italian?"
I said, "I just love reading, Superman!"

We're in Venice. This city is known for canals lined with gothic places, Piazza San Marco square and carnival.
I heard that their Sarde in saor and Baccala mantecato were their best sellers in the restaurants. I'm so excited to savor their foods.

I bet the author is not even familiar with this foods but they looked delicious when you surf the net.
I indeed enjoyed the view. We took so many pictures. This is really a memorable day.

Before we went home, we had a twenty minute ride going to the Venice Lido Beach. We watched the sunset together and he gave me a golden heart locket necklace. Inside the locket was our picture.
I said, "You made me feel special! Nobody ever treated me this way aside from my family and best friends!"

He answered, "You're my world, sweet pea!" Well until now, we're not yet in a relationship but in my heart I know that he's the one for me!
