Just A Bittersweet Memory

Chapter 10- I'd like to get to know you

Many days passed by, I had finished a lot of projects and I focused on my studies. Do you still remember when we had our surprise quiz?Lewis and I got a perfect score so we were tasked to tutor some of our classmates who failed. We will be going to the library later.

In the library, Lewis was already tutoring John, James and Tom when I arrived. I'm going to tutor Linda and Cecile. Our classmates were fast learners so we finished the tutoring session earlier.

Lewis said "Are you still free after this?" I said, "Yes Superman it's my day off, why are you asking me?"
He said, I'd like to get to know you better!" I replied "So what's your plan Superman?" He said, "Are we really going to call each other sweet pea and Superman from now on?"

I answered "Of course! Do you prefer when I call you, Mr. Grumpy?"
He just chuckled and replied, "Well, I'm sorry for being arrogant."
I said, "I'll accept your apology if you treat me for dinner cause I'm famished."
He answered then winked, "Anything for you my sweet pea!" I replied, "Oh don't keep your hopes up Superman. I'll just go with you for the free food!"   He replied while looking at me in the eye, "I'll take the opportunity!"

We went to the cafe near our school. Lewis told me to order what I like so I ordered baked macaroni, pizza and fries and I paired it with my favorite vanilla shake. Lewis preferred brewed coffee. He was just staring at me while smiling. I said, "Hey, are you done staring at me?Why don't you just eat already? You don't like what I ordered for us?"

Lewis said,"What you ordered were all my favorite foods but by just looking at you eating happily, made me full already!"
I told him, "You are really good with your words Superman!"

Anyway, while we were eating I was just talking about how I missed my parents and how close I am to my brother Jace and my sister Keily. My brother is 20 years old. He also goes to school taking up Business and Management. My sister is 15 years old and she looks like me. She's studying in our small town and a good listener because she's always there when I needed to vent.

Lewis told me that he doesn't have siblings. He claimed to have big family or a big clan. His dad's name is George Parker. He's a famous and powerful businessman. Many were afraid of him because they said that he owned a large area in Italy. His mom's name is Sandra Parker, she's working on charities. He said that his mom is sweet like an angel.

After sharing a lot of stories about our lives, it was finally time to go home. He held my hand and before he left me, he kissed me on my forehead.I said, "Good night Superman!"
He replied, "Good night my sweet pea!"

How can I fall asleep tonight? I was so happy that we were getting along very well. I'm really falling fast and deep! I was exhausted! I closed my eyes and slept with the sweetest smile on my face.

Mia is beginning to trust me. She's simply breath-taking. She's opening up about her family. I've never been this happy with another girl. I had few number of girls but I do not want them to get close to me. Is this what falling in love feels like? I've never felt this way before.

How can I ever stay away from her? This girl will be the death of me! Loving her makes me weak. Every time my dad wanted me to kill an enemy, I wouldn't hesitate cause I've got nothing to lose but this time, it's different. I have my sweet pea and I'm afraid to lose her. She is my weakness, my kryptonite.
