"I don't want anything, I was just wondering how you bagged ol boy. He seems way out of your league.", he says. " 'Ol boy' has a name, and it's August, how I 'bagged' him is none of your business, and if he was out of my league then explain how I got him? Exactly.", she says.

Michael Banks, Kennedy's Older Brother
"Why are you giving me the cold shoulder? I haven't done shit to you.", Michael says. "You haven't done shit to me? That's hilarious.", Kennedy scoffs. "What exactly have I done to you Ken?", he asks.
"What haven't you done? That's the real question.", she says making him sigh. "Look, I'm sorry, but it's not my fault.", he says. "You just had to be the perfect kid huh? Play every sport in the book, be artistically inclined, and be smart as fuck all in one.", she scoffs.
Kennedy Yeah it's not just my mother who I don't get along with, I don't get along with a lot of my family members. That's a huge reason why I moved to California when I had the chance. There's no reason for me to stay in Atlanta where I'm only seen as an open wallet. Anyways as you can see, California clearly wasn't fucking far enough.
"Why are you acting as if you don't have talents or you're not smart? You have a degree in cosmetology, a license to do hair, and a whole ass hair salon.", he says. "I'm not YOU! What part of that don't you get? You're the first born and you're a boy so you automatically get all of mama's love. There's nothing else to be said after that.", she says rolling her eyes.
"I'm sorry Ken.", he says. "I've heard that bullshit so many times since the day I turned 18, I'm tired of hearing it my nigga.", she says looking at the road.
When She Gets To August's
"My baby's homeeee!", August says picking her up and spinning her around making her laugh. "I see you missed me.", she says cupping his face as he puts her down. "Of course, I always miss you when you're away from me.", he says leaning down and kissing her.
"I missed you too.", she says pulling away then hugging him. "You okay?", he says hugging her back. "Yeah.", she says before sighing into his chest. "No you're not, what's wrong? Come on, talk to daddy.", he says sitting down on the couch and putting her on his lap making her smile. "Okay..", she says starting to tell him what happened.
"And every time I talk to anyone in my family, it takes me back to being overlooked as a kid, a teenager, and only being seen as a wallet to my mother as an adult. As if she doesn't have two other kids to ask for money from.", Kennedy says rolling her eyes.
"I have love for my family of course, but I just don't want shit to do with them. Which is a huge part of the reason why I moved so far away.", she says leaning down and putting her head in his neck as August starts rubbing up and down her back.
"I'm sorry baby, I know how it feels growing up without a father and not getting a lot of love from ya moms. It really fucks with your mental, but we good baby.", August says continuing to rub her back.

"I look gross right now. Got this face mask on, hair messy, got these big ass clothes on.", she says walking back up to the mirror. "Girl you look good! Stop!", he says making her back up again and smile at him. "Thank you.", she chuckles.
"You having fun there?", August asks while Kennedy kisses all over his face and neck. "Yep.", she says pecking his lips. "Your lips are soft as fuck.", he says. "So are yours.", she says starting to suck on his bottom lip making him laugh. "My baby.", he says looking at her smiling.
"Speaking of babies, where are yours? I ain't seen them since I did their hair.", she asks. "With family on they mama's side. They coming back this weekend.", he says. "Yayyyy. Wait, do they know about us?", she asks. "It's funny you asked cause I was just talking to Chay earlier about that. She called me all happy and shit talking bout 'Why ain't you tell me you was dating her?' and 'She really pretty though, I see you nephew'", he says chuckling. "That is so cuteee.", she says smiling.
"Yeah. Those three little girls hold a huge part of my heart, it's crazy. Chaylin is my fucking dawg, like she's really my bestie outchea. Amaiya reminds me of me when I was her age. She's really quiet, you know. Now Kayden, you've seen her she looks just like me. It's like somebody took my face and put it on her.", he says continuing to talk about them.
Kennedy's POV
It's so cute hearing August talking about his naughters. You can tell he really loves those girls.
"I really like having deep talks and shit with you.", Kennedy says laying on August's chest and interlocking their fingers. "I do too, we learn a lot more about each other when we do.", he says kissing her forehead.
