A Week Later Back in California
August
Alright the girls start school today and I'm kinda having a moment, cause my babies are really growing up so fast. Kay Kay starts the 6th grade, Chay is a sophomore, and Amaiya is a freshman. Kennedy did they hair all good and shit, as she always does. Can't have my babies looking rusty outchea.
"Come on Kay Kay.", August says opening the car door for her as she hops out. "Bye y'all.", Kayden says waving to them. "Bye baby, good luck!", Kennedy says. "Byeeee, love you!", Amaiya and Chaylin say in unison. "Thank you and love y'all too.", Kayden says closing the door and walking away with August.
"Hey, I know this is different than what you're used to and you're kinda nervous. If you see someone from Elementary who you were friends with, try to stick with them. They probably feel the same way. Otherwise you got this, I love you twin.", August says smiling and hugging her. "I love you too.", Kayden says hugging him back.
"Alright now what I teach y'all?", August asks pulling up to their school. "Don't let what people say get to us, let them talk. What they saying doesn't matter until they get physical. When it does get physical, let them throw the first punch then beat they ass.", Chaylin says as Kennedy busts out laughing. "That's right bestie!", he says turning around dapping her up.
"Now Amaiya, I know this is scary for you. Try to adapt to the new atmosphere and continue to do your absolute best, as you always do. Keep making me proud baby.", he says leaning over and kissing her cheek. "Okay, I will.", Amaiya says nodding. "Chay, look out for her. You're all she's got.", Kennedy says turning around. "I will.", Chaylin says nodding.
Kennedy
Watching August be such a good father to these girls makes me wanna fucking cry. Their relationship is so beautiful, so pure.
"Alright, good luck and I love y'all.", August says hugging them. "We love you too.", Chaylin and Amaiya say in unison.
"Please don't stop doing that.", August says driving to Kennedy's apartment. "I won't baby.", Kennedy says smiling and continuing to rub his neck. "Ready to make the first step into the next level of our lives together?", he asks looking at her and smiling.
"Only if you areeee.", she says looking at him. "I'm more than ready, I'm very much excited.", he says pulling up to the apartment complex. "Well let's get started.", she says getting out of the car.
"Alright it's getting hot in here.", Kennedy says taking off her shirt and tossing it on her dresser, leaving her in her sports bra and sweats. "You should have a yard sale.", August says walking in her room with his shirt over his shoulder. "I was just thinking the same thing, but it's August 24th. I'm moving two weeks from today, do we really have the time to plan one?", she asks.
"I mean, yeah. Plan during your downtime at work, after work, before you go to bed. You have my help too.", he says. "You been working hard papa?", she asks walking to him and putting her around his neck. "Mhm.", he nods. "Awn baby, thank you.", she says pecking his lips. "It ain't no problem my love.", he says.
"We can just take all your clothes with us, so you won't have to keep coming over here to get more.", August says picking up a box. "Alright, It's 2:00 so after we put these few boxes in the car and get some food we can go get the girls from school.", Kennedy says throwing her phone on the bed and picking up a box.
"Hey pretty girl, how was school?", Kennedy asks as August and Kayden get in the car. "It was really good, I saw some people who I were friends with last year and my teachers are pretty nice.", Kayden says putting on her seatbelt. "That's great love, I hope your first year of middle goes amazinggg.", she says looking back at her and smiling. "Thank you.", she says smiling.
"Wassup y'all?", Chaylin says getting in the car with Amaiya and August. "I see you had a good first day.", Kennedy chuckles. "Yes I did. I saw all my friends, my classes are lit, my teachers are dope, it was just all great.", Chaylin says sitting back and Amaiya closes the door behind her. "That's good Chay, how was your first day Maiya?", she asks as August drives off. "It was good, saw a few people from eight grade. My teachers are pretty cool too, I already know this one class is gonna irk me though.", Amaiya says slightly rolling her eyes. "It's always one babe.", she says shaking her head.
"I gotta work for the rest of the week, so we gotta continue the moving process the weekend. I'm gonna start a schedule for days I do and don't work, haven't been this busy outside of work so I never made one.", Kennedy says laying her head on August's lap and getting on her phone. "Alright.", August says nodding. "I can't not do hair on Mondays and Fridays, I already don't do weekends, so a day I can take off.. Wednesday, yep.", she says tapping away at her phone.
-
"Alright I got it. I don't do hair on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. We open at 10 instead of 11 and we still close at 8:30, and walk-ins are now not accepted. Effective September 8th.", Kennedy says typing on her phone. "Okay Ms. Banks.", August says smiling. "At your service.", she says putting her phone down and smiling.
"You ready to go to bed?", he asks rubbing her thigh. "Mhm.", she nods standing up. "I'll put the girls down then I'll be in there.", he says standing up. "Alright.", she says walking upstairs as he walks down the hall.
"Okay, got them to finally go to bed s- oop.", August says walking in to see her sleep already. He takes off his shirt and sweats then lays down in the bed next to her. Feeling a shift in the bed, Kennedy moves closer to him and lays her head on his chest and puts her arm around him, making him smile. "I love you Ken Killa.", he says looking down at her as he runs his hand up and down her back.
- Two things are coming up soon y'all, August's birthday and Kennedy moving in with him. Are we excited?
