Saturday at Bryson's Graduation

"I'm so excited, I haven't been to a graduation since the other one graduated.", Kennedy says crossing her legs. "You mean your brother, Michael?", Robin asks. "You hear something?", Kennedy asks August making him smile and shake his head.

August's POV

She is so fucking petty, she lowkey gets that shit from me. It's also a Scorpio thing, the ones I've met are always really petty.😂

"Michael is so fucking perfect, but couldn't even show up for his little brothers graduation? Sad.", Kennedy scoffs. "Yo.", Michael says sitting next to Robin. "Speak of the devil.", she says rolling her eyes. "Hey baby.", Robin says kissing his cheek and wrapping her arms around him. "Makes me sick.", she says shaking her head.

"Hey mama, hey Ken.", Michael says looking down to where she is. "Hi.", she says not looking at him. "Remember why you're here, don't let them get to you. Only one more day baby.", August whispers in her ear as she nods in agreement.

"Who's this young man you have with you?", Michael asks. "August, nice to meet you man.", August says holding his hand out for him to shake.

"Oh so you're the singer nigga my sister messing with?", Michael asks not shaking his hand making August take his hand back. "Yeah, your point?", August asks raising his eyebrow. "Nothing, just gives me softie vibes that's all.", Michael says sitting back. "Nigga I'll show you soft.", August says standing up, but being pulled back down by Kennedy.

"Nope. Not here, not now.", Kennedy says looking at August. "Yeah, tell him tone it down.", Michael says. "Do you ever shut the fuck up? Now imagine if I would've let him beat your ass, I bet you would then." Kennedy says as the principal of Bryson's school starts talking.

I was honestly expecting for disrespect to come August's way from Michael because that's just who he is, a disrespectful ass nigga. August ain't the one to play with though, he'll really stomp a nigga out.

"Bryson Banks.", the principal says. "Wooo!! That's my baby brotherrrrr!", Kennedy cheers and claps for Bryson making him smile as he takes his diploma. "That's my baby!", Robin cheers. "Yeahhh lil bro!", Michael cheers and claps.

"Oh that's his girlfriend, she is so pretty.", Kennedy says clapping for her as she walks across the stage. "You know I've never seen what you looked like in high school.", August says looking at her. "There's really nothing to see, I look the same. At least I think I do. I'll show you my year books when we get back to the house though.", she says resting her head on his shoulder.

After the Ceremony

"I'm proud of you my boyyy!", Kennedy says hugging Bryson. "Thank you so much.", Bryson says hugging her back then pulling away. "Congratulations man.", August says dapping up Bryson. "Thank you, but this is Aaliyah. Aaliyah, this is my sister Kennedy and her boyfriend August.", he says pointing between them.

"Congratulations love, it is so nice to meet you. I literally can't get over how pretty you are.", Kennedy says hugging her. "It's nice to meet you too, and thank you. You definitely have me beat though.", Aaliyah says hugging her back. "Nahhh.", Kennedy says pulling away and smiling.

Back At the House

Bryson's graduation party is going on and all his friends are there and a few cousins, aunties, and uncles are in attendance as well.

"Your brother is one disrespectful ass nigga.", August says as Kennedy sits on his lap. "I told you he was babe. Him and my mother are devils in disguise. They are why I avoid coming down here. Unless something's wrong with Bryson, when we leave tomorrow I'm not coming back.", Kennedy says.

"No one asked you to come back down here to begin with.", Michael says sitting down on the couch. "My BROTHER asked me to come back, I wouldn't be here if it were anyone else.", she says.

"Then why are you making such a big deal about coming back now?", he asks rolling his eyes. "Because every time come back I'm reminded of why I left in the first place!", Kennedy yells.

"Kennedy stop causing a scene.", Robin says walking in the living room. "Me?! Why do you always assume it's me? Do you ever think that your asshole of a son causes these issues?", Kennedy asks sitting her drink down and standing up making people turn their heads. "Don't call your brother an asshole!", Robin yells.

"Yo I am sick of this shit! I'm sick of you always playing me out to be the bad guy, when it's actually that son of yours that you have always put on a fucking pedestal.", Kennedy says shaking her head. "I don't put my any of my kids on a pedestal, Kennedy you're being delusional.", Robin says looking around.

"Bullshit! Fucking bullshit. Stop lying to these people to hide the fact that you're a terrible mother!", Kennedy yells making people gasp, August being one of them. "Kennedy I have been nothing but a good mother to you and your brothers.", Robin says.

"Actually, you've been nothing but a good mother to us. Meanwhile, you've treated Ken like she's not your child for as long as I can remember.", Bryson says standing next to Kennedy as she nods in agreement. "Thank you B.", Kennedy says. "You know I got you.", Bryson says.

"And I got you. Anyways, you have treated me like shit my whole life, yet I still do things to help you out when I shouldn't do anything at all. As a matter of fact, I'm not going to anymore. I suggest you start looking for a job and an apartment because your money run with me is over.", Kennedy says making August smile.

That's my baby, finally standing her ground.

"You are so ungrateful.", Robin says. "That's definitely you, love. You continue to treat me like shit forgetting that I was your only source of income. You and your demon child have damaged me enough. As of right now, I'm done letting you break me down. You two can go to hell for all I care.", Kennedy shrugs. "Kennedy-", Robin starts but gets cut off.

"We're done here sweetheart. You have the two sons you always wanted, but you're out of a daughter.", Kennedy says sitting back down on August's lap. "You are my daughter.", Robin says. "Don't try to claim me now, give it up. Everyone knows you're a shitty mother now Robin.", Kennedy says laughing a bit.

That Night

"So how do you feel?", August asks as Kennedy starts sitting indian style. "I feel fucking great baby. I fought for their love so long, it was so tiring. I understood why my mother treated me like she did, but my brother? I'm still very confused.", Kennedy says shaking her head as August slides up on the headboard.

"You don't have to fight for anyone's love anymore because you have mine now. I.. I love you, Kennedy.", he says looking in her eyes.
