VI- Confessions.

Previously..

"August, I haven't been completely honest with you.", she says sighing.

Now..

"What are you talking about?", August asks pulling back. "Before.. we continue with what we're doing, if you'd even want to continue with this after I tell you what I'm about to tell you, I should tell you that.. I've had a boyfriend this entire time.", she says looking away from him. "Look me in my eyes and say that shit again.", he says looking at her as she slowly turns her head to face him.

When I looked into his eyes, I saw nothing but hurt in them. Which was exactly what I was trying to avoid, but it had to come out sooner or later. In this case, it just happened to be sooner.

"I've had a boyfriend this entire time.", she says looking in his eyes. "Now I had a feeling that this shit was too good to be true, I just didn't wanna believe it was.", he says looking away from her.

"August, I really don't wanna end what we have. Even though I just fucked up everything before it got really serious.", She says looking at him out the corner of her eye then down at the ground. "Actually, you didn't. Quite frankly, I'm not really all that mad.", August says licking his lips and running a hand down his face.

"Excuse me?", she asks looking at him and raising her eyebrow. "I'm not that mad, am I shocked? Very. You didn't ruin anything though.", August says looking at her. "Uh, how exactly?", she asks with a confused look on her face.

"If your relationship was really up to par, you would've never flirted with me or gave me your number. I'm not letting you go that easily because there's clearly something here. If I let you go back to your "boyfriend", you'd continue to be unhappy in your "relationship" and I'd sit here in regret, so it's a lose-lose situation. In conclusion, you're not going anywhere and neither am I.", he says making a smile appear on her face.

"Don't get too happy, I'm still mad at you.", he says making her smile fade. "How long is this gonna last?", she asks looking away. "Apparently not very long.", he says turning her face back to him and kissing her.

"So, Angel knew?", August asks driving and looking at Kennedy. "Yep.", Kennedy says nodding. "What does she think about us?", August asks looking back at the road. "She supports us, just wants me to leave Peyton before we end up in blogs and he finds out through TheShadeRoom before me. Other than that, she supports whatever I do. She just wants to see me happy.", she says looking at the road. "Who's Peyton? Your boyfriend?", he asks. "Yeah.", she says looking down and messing with her fingers.

"Tell me about him.", he says. "What?", she asks raising her eyebrow. "Tell me about the unlucky guy, I'm listening.", he says.

"Okay.. Um, his name is Peyton. We've been together for almost three years. We met through a girl who used to work at the salon. We started off very, very good. Things honestly started to get boring once we hit two years. I was always working, he was always working and whenever one of us would come home we'd be too tired to even eat a meal together. We started to get very distant. Everyday I fall more and more out of love with him, shit just ain't the same anymore. We.. don't work anymore. Anything else you wanna know?", she says looking at him and he stops in front of her apartment complex.

"What does he look like?", August asks letting his seat back. She unlocks her phone and goes to a picture of her & Peyton then shows him. "You looked happy.", August says. "I was, but you know, things change and people change.", Kennedy sighs.

"Kennedy.", August says. "Yes?", Kennedy asks turning around. "I still fuck witchu, I'm gonna continue to fuck witchu. I know how you feel, that's why I'm being kinda chill about this. I know how it feels to love someone more than anything and then kinda out of nowhere you fall out of love. Take your time, baby. I'll still be here, just don't have me waiting forever.", he says chuckling. "I won't, I promise.", she says cupping his face and kissing him.

The Next Morning

"You didn't call me last night, what happened on the dateeee?", Angel says walking into Kennedy's apartment and sitting down on her couch. "He took me to a seafood restaurant, we went on a horse and carriage ride, and we went to the beach and we watched the sun go down.. And we kissed", she says sitting next to her.

"You two kissed? Why didn't you call meeee?", Angel asks elbowing her arm. "Because of what happened afterwards. I told him Angel.", she says starting to sit indian-style. "You told him? Oh shit. How'd he take it?", she asks. "The way he took it still kinda blows me, but this is what happened.", she says leaning back.

"Have y'all talked since last night?", Angel asks after Kennedy finishes telling her what happened. "What time is it?", Kennedy asks. "11:30.", Angel says looking at her phone. "Then no. My phone is upstairs, but I know for a fact that he's still sleep. I give him until like 2:00 at the latest.", she says flipping her hair back.

"So y'all are still good?", she asks. "I would very much hope so.", she chuckles. "What are you gonna do when Peyton comes back?", Angel asks. "I don't know. What I do know is me and August just have to be a lot more careful to not get caught in the public eye, cause you know.. paparazzi, blogs, and all that other rah-rah.", Kennedy says.
