Dear Evan Hanson AU

@IReallyDontKnow18206 (idk if this even worked tbh I've never used the mention on my laptop before) this one is for you! The AU isn't super in-depth right now, so I'm interested in any feedback y'all are willing to share <3

UH ngl I haven't been in the fandom in a while so I don't remember a lot of the plot but I know like. The general gist of it :) I'm willing to change character roles to other Hermits (besides Mumbo) if y'all think there is another character fights the role better. I'm open to suggestions!

So here is a little information on the AU- If I were to ever write a long fic for this (I'll probably do one-shots/songfics for this for now) it would follow the plotline mostly. Slight details would be changed, but not too much. This is also an Architechs based AU! So they fall into the main character spots lol. 

Evan Hanson- Mumbo. TBH what got me thinking about this AU was the song Waving Through A Window and I could always imagine Mumbo singing that song. I've also never really used Mumbo as the main character in any of my AU's (ATLA being Scar and the Pokemon AU would be Grian and False) and I really like Mumbo. I think he could fit into the role of Evan Hanson extremely well. Morally ambiguous Mumbo lmao.

Heidi Hanson- False. This one is a big ehhh. Honestly, all the parent roles are eh to me. Not sure if I want to use Hermits in the parent roles. But if I do, I chose False for Heidi because of the song Good For You. I just like how it fits. 

Zoe Murphy- Grian. Haha, Grian is the love-interest. Honestly, not much else to say here. BUT Grian singing Requiem? Valid. And the whole 'Grian is just really fucking pretty' thing some fics use is hilarious to me and I want to use it. Chaotic pretty gremlin. 

Cynthia Murphy- Cleo. Another parent role I'm eh about. Why is Cleo Cynthia? The C. Idk honestly give me ideas. 

Larry Murphy- NO CLUE! I have NO idea who to put here if I use hermits! 

Connor Murphy- Iskall. Rest in fucking peace he ded. I chose Iskall for reasons that are not his personality. Iskall was picked for Connor because of his friendship with Mumbo pretty much. Also, exploring a different kind of relationship between Iskall and Grian? I never have written them as a negative relationship OR as siblings. With slight adjustments to Connor's character, I think Iskall could be a good fit. 

Alana Beck- Stress. Smart, caring female friend! I think Stress fits Alana well personally, and I think she would be a good fit for this AU. Not much to say here. 

Jared Kleinman- Ren. Jared? Chaotic energy. Ren? Chaotic energy. I debated using Grian for Jared instead of Ren, but I also really like the idea of Ren as Jared? Plus I don't see a lot of Ren and Mumbo as friends in fics. 

Again, it's been y e a r s since I've focused on this musicial. Somethings don't fit perfectly so let me know what you guys think <3 I still think Mumbo as Evan Hansen is god tier though.
