"I mean... Um, as in like he's drunk and can't drive home anymore so that's where I come in handy.", I save myself.
"Oh, yea right.", Joe looks at me and gives me the feeling that he might suspect something.
Dan just brushes it off and continues drinking with Joe.

Even though I am happy that we were able to leave all of the drama behind, I can still see some of Joe's old behavior in him. He encourages Dan to drink every time he gets the chance to, just to possibly stir something up between us. But sober me won't let that happen.

I don't really see Dan the whole rest of the night and just continue updating my friends and talking to Phil a lot, who has had a drink or two but definitely isn't on the level my finance is at. Occasionally, I would see him alongside with Joe and them drinking and laughing. All I can hope for is that they don't do anything stupid. But at the end of the day Dan is just having fun and I'm sure Joe doesn't have bad intentions.

"Has anyone seen Dan?", I ask it now being 5 am.
Zoe yawns: "No, not in a while. Don't you just want to sleep over?"
"Trust me I'd love to but our wedding planner is coming over in literally a few hours."

Originally, we only planned on staying until around midnight but that soon turned to the morning. The appointment with the planner, April, is really important because it is the first one after finding out I'm pregnant. So there are definitely some arrangements to be made. Dan and I decided to make everything even more casual and maybe have an actual wedding party next year since I do want to fully enjoy it and not hold back because I'm pregnant.

"Oh.", Louise begins, being the only other one awake, "Maybe in one of the bedrooms?"
I shrug and scan the apartment until I finally find a clue aka his shoes in the hallway in front of a bedroom. Inside is Dan, passed out on the bed. Making my way over to him, I smell the stinging smell of tequila: "Dan? Love?", I sit down next to him and rub his back. "Hello? Earth to Dan?"

All I hear is a quiet grunt.

"You have to get up. April is coming soon and you should take a shower beforehand to look a li-", he cuts me off by turning around and pinning me onto the bed, laughing.
"Ew get off, you stink.", I say and try to push him away. He continues to kiss me down my neck and even though I can't help but giggle, I have to put a stop to it: "Oi. Later alright, not here. Come on now, you're clearly still tipsy. When did you stop drink-", I get cut off again, but this time when he comes up to my eyes and I finally properly see his face after I adjust to the dark. Or should I say when I finally see his bloody face?
