Margo's POV

Before lunch, at the climbing station, I tell Coral everything she needs to know, and I tell her good luck at the assessments.

"You too, Margo, but I'm sure you don't need it," she says.

At lunch, we say our goodbyes for the day, seeing as we won't be seeing each other until the games start.

"Good luck with the assessments, guys," Harvey says, followed by the rest of us murmuring good luck and goodbye.

Once everyone is done eating, we're escorted to the hallway that leads to the entrance of the training room, and told to stand quietly in a line until it's our turn to go in.  It takes roughly ten minutes for each person to go before the next is called in, meaning that it took roughly three and half hours before I am called in.

I walk into the room and pick up one of the slingshots that I hid at the weapon making station to use during the assessment.  I walk over to underneath the box where the Gamemakers are sitting.  I call out my name and district.  They ignore me.

I hit a few targets, still getting no response, then pick up three spears and chuck them, one after the other.  At that point, something had happened in the box, eliciting everyone to get up and rush to one side of the room.  I pick up the slingshot and a rock and aim it at one of the light fixtures on the opposite side of the room from where everyone is standing.  I release the string, and the rock hits the light, shattering it and giving off a tiny explosion.  The Gamemakers turn around, shocked, and Atiya Larson, the Head Gamemaker, walks up to the edge of the railing.

"Now you listen to me you little district piece of..."

"No, actually, you listen to me," I say, walking forward, "I'm only here because of you people, and all I'm asking for is ten minutes of your time.  Now, you're going to pay attention to me, and then your going to pay attention to my sister, and then you can do whatever the hell you want.  Now, if you look over here, you'll see all of the targets that I hit with spears and with this slingshot.  If you look above your head, you'll also see one of the things that I aimed for, and hit, with wonderful accuracy.  So, that's about all I have to show you, thank you for your time.  Now that wasn't so hard, was it?" I finish, all of my anger from the past two weeks coursing through my veins as I slam the slingshot onto the weapons table and walk out the door.

Alexia's POV

I can hear yelling and a bang on a table as I wait outside the training room for my assessment.  Two peacekeepers then come out to escort me inside, and when I walk in, I see the Gamemakers huddled into one half of their viewing box, and a blown out light fixture inside of it.

"Alexia Hawthorne, District 12," I say.

"Oh, darling, we know," I hear one of the Gamemakers say.

I walk over to the weapons area, and pick up four knives, then skillfully chuck them across the room at some targets, slowly backing away from them as I do.  I hit each of them in the middle, just like I planned, then pick up four more knives and back up even further.  When I'm finished, I'm standing in the middle of the Training room, and Atiya Larson tells me to go.

"Thank you for your time, Gamemakers," I say as I'm escorted out, and back up to the District Twelve floor.
