-10 Years Later-

Ten years later, twenty one year old Changbin sat in his cell lifting a pair of dumbbells that'd been given to him for his nineteenth birthday.

A lot of time had passed by and things had changed significantly for Changbin. His wing had grown back all of the feathers he'd lost during the fight with Jeongin and he could finally fly again.

Changbin's wings had also grown to their full length and he'd also grown a few inches himself, gaining a lot of muscle from lifting weights and training with the doctors.

As the years passed, Changbin found himself becoming weary and nervous. He grew more aware that any day now the doctors could wipe his memories, take away his powers, and drop him back off in the unforgiving human world.

Changbin wanted to make sure that never happened.

So he began planning, mapping out every small detail of the facility on a piece of paper that he'd managed to snatch from the doctors when they weren't looking.

Changbin was eager to share his plan of escape with the other boys but was forced to wait impatiently for his training week.

Today was the day he would finally start his training for the month and that only gave him a week to get his plan out to the boys.

So Changbin decided to chat quickly and urge them to spread the message amongst themselves.

Suddenly, Changbin's cell door opened and brought him back to reality.

Changbin looked up at the doctor standing in his doorway and sighed, standing up quietly and reluctantly following him down the hall to a very familiar training room.

The doctor unlocked the door and Changbin walked inside.

Changbin was so distracted by the nostalgic room that he didn't even hear the doctor lock the door behind him.

As Changbin looked around the room, he caught sight of Chan swimming around in the pool and walked over to the edge of it to talk to him.

"Hey Chan hyung." He murmured, a grin on his face as Chan looked up at him and gasped.

"Hey Changbin! Long time no see!" He replied, manipulating the water and using it to set himself down next to Changbin.

"You've grown a lot since the last time I saw you."

Changbin smirked and studied Chan's toned stomach and arms. "You too hyung. How old are you now?"

Chan chuckled and ruffled his sopping wet blonde curls.

"I'm twenty three years old. The doctors are preparing to make me normal and bring me back to the human world any day now." He explained, picking his shirt up off the ground and pulling it over his head.

Changbin perked up and his wings spread out to their full length.

"You aren't going to let them do that to you, are you?"

Chan shrugged and crossed his arms over his chest.

"It's not like I have any other choice Changbin. I'm practically a full grown adult but I still don't belong anywhere. At least I'll finally be accepted and seen as normal by society." He insisted, smiling weakly at Changbin.

Changbin shook his head and put a hand on Chan's shoulder.

"But what if there's another way Chan hyung! You haven't thought about all the different possibilities!"

Chan blinked and stared at Changbin curiously.

"What do you mean?" He whispered, leaning in towards Changbin so the camera would only record his back.

"What if we all escaped?" Changbin suggested, his brown eyes sparkling excitedly.

Chan's eyes immediately flashed ice blue and he shook his head quickly.

"No way. It's not possible. The doctors are stupid, but they aren't that stupid."

"But Chan hyung! I have everything planned out! I even drew a map of the facility so we know where the different exits are! Why are you so against the idea of escaping?!" Changbin protested, his wings puffing out in frustration.

Chan sighed and turned around, lifting up his shirt so his back was exposed to Changbin.

Whip scars covered the majority of Chan's back, some scars ran deeper than others but the sight was still horrifying to gaze upon.

"This is why. I tried to escape once and now I know the consequences. Who knows what they'll do if we all try to escape." He muttered as Changbin gently ran his hands over the scars.

"But Chan hyung, that was one time and it was an unprepared escape. I've been planning for the past ten years. How could I possibly fail?"

Chan felt Changbin's hands leave his back and he pulled his shirt down, turning back around to face Changbin.

"Listen Changbin, I'd rather make it out of this facility alive rather than dead. So if you want to escape, knock yourself out. I won't interfere. But let me tell you, you're just wasting your time." He whispered, his eyes flashing ice blue for a minute and then melting back to their soft brown colour.

Changbin heard the training room door open and sighed sadly.

"Just let me know if you change your mind. I won't go without you." He whispered before walking out of the training room with the doctor.

Chan heard the door close and shook his head, taking off his shirt and diving back into the pool.

Changbin was brought back to his cell and locked away again, but just as the doctor's footsteps disappeared down the hall, he heard another set of lighter footsteps coming towards his door. Changbin perked up and spread his wings, ready to fight if necessary.

Then Changbin's cell door unlocked and Jisung snuck inside, shutting the door behind him.

Changbin's mouth dropped open and he stared at Jisung in shock.

The boy in front of him was lean, tall, and lanky. Quite a contrast from his shorter, slightly chubby child self.

Jisung turned to face Changbin and smiled. "I heard you wanted to escape from this place? Tell me all about it, I'm totally all for it." He beamed, sitting down on Changbin's bed and staring at him expectantly.

Changbin snapped out of his shocked trance and smiled back. "Sure thing Jisung. God, it's just so great to see you again."

Jisung laughed and leaned in to hug Changbin tightly. "It's good to see you too Changbin hyung. Now tell me about your plan." He insisted, pulling away with a mischievous grin on his face.

"Alright. So I drew a map of the facility, but I don't have enough for everyone. If you could use your clones to draw multiple maps and spread the news as fast as possible, I'd really appreciate it." He explained, pulling out his map from under his pillow and handing it to Jisung.

Jisung studied the map and nodded. "Can do! Now how are we going to escape?"

Changbin leaned in closer to Jisung and whispered the plan into his ear. Jisung's eyes lit up and he clapped Changbin heartily on the back.

"That's brilliant Changbin hyung! Now I better get this clone back to my cell before the doctors catch us conspiring. I'll see you on Thursday!" He whisper shouted, hugging Changbin quickly and then leaving his cell with the map of the facility.

Changbin chuckled and lay back on his bed, looking up at the metal ceiling with a bright spark of hope building in his chest.
