A small boy wearing nothing but white and gray ran through the quieted parts of the popular server. He ran until he found the secret redstone door he saw his friend, and only friend to be frank, make it before his eyes. The boy stepped on the stone pressure plate, watching the pistols unfold the door in front of him. He couldn't help but be awestruck everytime. Beyond there laid his friend he made just a year ago when he was allowed to visit another server for the first time.
"Grian!" The other boy called out as soon as he saw him, "I swear, everytime we meet up you arrive even later than before! I was waiting a whole 5 minutes this time!"
Grian couldn't help but laugh and as he tried to speak, soon remembering he wasn't that great at English still, "Sorry! It get hard to sneak past, they are starting to notice."
The other boy shook his head, deciding if he should just give up on teaching Grian English or not. Hell, why isn't Grian fluent in English at all? That's a question he doesn't think he'll ever get answered.
"I was hoping we could start meeting up more often, but I don't want you to get caught so why don't we tone it down to, a couple months?" The black haired boy questioned.
Grian nodded, even though he hated to lessen the time the two had together. "Can Mumbo teach English now?"

It's a normal day on the Hermitcraft server. And by normal, I mean that Grian just got finished pranking an idle Mumbo Jumbo. He slyly snickered, using his rockets and took flight back to his half finished base. Grian couldn't help but admire the mess he called his mega base built with nothing but white concrete and gray terracotta. Well, at least he did his best to make it look futuristic and in the builder's eyes it was completely perfect. He landed down by the mess he called his storage and looked throughout the large chests and pile of shulker boxes, searching around for the concrete powder and any other materials he needed to make more blocks to build with.
Some time had passed and Grian was finally able to find what he needed. He crafted up the gravel, sand and dye together to make more white concrete powder and quickly flew up to where he last left off, with the help of rockets and his elytra of course. With a graceful landing on the thick layer of blocks, Grian went around the circled base, building the walls higher until he didn't have any more blocks to build with. After that was done, he poured water on the powder to harden it into pure concrete. He intently watched the water trickle down across the sides, the concrete forming quickly when the powder makes contact with the water.
Grian grinned, jumping off of the building. His elytra wings spread and allowed him to glide. He slowly flew to the shopping district, deciding not to waste a rocket on speeding up his flight. Someone from the shadows suspiciously watched the builder glide, soon disappearing into the tree covered mountain. He's always had the feeling of being watched every now and then, but he assumed it was nothing and this time was no different. Grian landed somewhere in the center of the shopping district, looking around. He wasn't there to really buy anything, he was just bored and tired, not really feeling like going to grind for more sand and other materials he needed to craft more concrete powder. He was about to go on a calming walk until he heard a familiar voice yell his name from behind.
"Grian!"
He turned his body to see who beckoned him, but he had an idea on who it was and boy was he right. The builder let out a snicker in response from seeing what he had done as a prank for his close friend, Mumbo Jumbo. Grian slowly fell into laughter, as Mumbo was clearly upset at the Grian head with the Curse of Binding effect equipped.
"Curse of Binding? Are you serious?" Despite seeming angry, the redstoner wasn't all that upset. He should've expected something like this from his good friend.
"I couldn't help it!" A slight wheeze escaped from Grian's lips, raising his hands in the air before abruptly running off. Which led to Mumbo chasing after the builder, who eventually caught up just because he has a longer stride compared to Grian.
Mumbo captured the smaller hermit, well. He tried to. Grian was just able to activate his elytra and fly off. He glided around the mustached man in a semi-taunting manner, yet had a carefree grin on his face.
Mumbo thought for a moment, or five, watching the new hermit slowly glide. "Can you at least put me out of my misery so I don't have to wear your face anymore?"
"As if! That stays on your head unless you die on your own!" Grian replied with a snicker, landing to the side of the taller, black haired male. That response earned a subtle growl from Mumbo, soon followed by a heavy sigh.
"..You're cruel."
"I know."

Xisuma was just about to reach his base until he saw a piece of paper just from the corner of his eye. Out of dumb curiosity, the server admin walked over and picked up the beaten up paper. His eyes widened seeing what's written straight in the middle of the paper. The armor cladded man hasn't seen or heard of that name in a long time.
"Do you remember Xelqua?"

[ this lacks so much interaction but sadly I've only seen season 6 from Grian's point of view meaning that I don't know how to write many of the other hermits without the characters seeming off. i'd like to consider this a prologue and i will just say, i am planning for this story to only be 5 or 6 chapters. pacing is the main issue im going to have, just going to put that down and that's not even mentioning the semi-horrible plot that i've come up with angstope's and i's ideas. prepare for the worst fanfic ever. it also looks like i'll have to tone it down with foreshadowing and hints with every chapter because i really want everything to be a surprise in the end. ]
