The way Grian spent his free time after Mumbo had left for the Hermitcraft server was by building small models with the little magic he was capable of mustering. After he was done with it, it would end up disappearing as he was too weak himself to sustain its existence.
He toyed with the block choices for his current mockup build, trying to build something that didn't seem generic for once. Whatever he built it looked like something that could be naturally generated, but better. No matter what. Grian let out a light sigh, his mind wandered as he subconsciously built. Soon realizing what he's done, he was practically already done with the building. It was carelessly built, yet still had amazing and simplistic detail. He lowly groaned, cutting off the source of energy that allowed the small blocks to manifest and watched the building disperse before him.

Xisuma froze. His expression shifted from shock to worry to disappointment. Disappointment in himself. He slowly nodded, his eyes narrowed as he watched Mumbo. "Did Grian put you up to this?"
"U-uh well," Mumbo stammered, trying to figure out what to say in response, "He told me about it and I just decided to help him."
Xisuma thought for a moment, seemingly going into deep thought. Before he was even going to speak, Mumbo cut him off, "Why were you even watching Grian?"
The admin fell silent, turning his gaze away from the redstoner. "You saw it too, how strange he acted at the beginning of the season. It was as if he's never played minecraft in survival at all."
Mumbo had to agree. It was strange but he always assumed that it was mainly due to the fact that his childhood friend was normally supplied with what he needed for his buildings. Grian had mentioned it to him when they were younger. Still, it was something that Grian had improved in and Xisuma had to see that, so why didn't he?
"It's been weeks though, and you're still watching him?"
"Ok ok, I was planning on stopping after this expedition anyways! Grian just.. has a familiar aura around him but I just- I just can't really explain it." X shook his head, knowing that this sounded stupid. "I'll just, go now. Sorry for the trouble for you and Grian."
Without waiting anymore, the admin jumped off of the cliff and his elytra wings spread, allowing him to glide. He used some rockets to fly off back to his base. Mumbo let out a soft sigh, flying over to Grian after that encounter. The builder on the other hand, had just finished the roof of the last cylinder to his mega base. He heard the use of rockets and looked around, only to see Mumbo flying towards him. Unaware of what just happened.
The redstoner landed in front of his friend with a sheepish expression. "Um-"
"Who was it?" Grian sounded concerned, his expression narrowed as he focused on the other's face.
"Xisuma-"
"Xisuma, why?"
For once, Grian didn't purposely mispronounce the admin's name and it definitely caught Mumbo off guard. This was.. strange. He decided to speak the full truth for now, "He said that there's something familiar about you to him."
"Oh."
It was the only response that Mumbo got from Grian and it sounded very distant and cold. It startled the taller male and took it as a chance to leave before he saw a side of his friend he didn't want to see at all.

On Xisuma's flight back to his base with rigid triangles and built out of prismarine and dark prismarine, well, that's what he's planned for his base in the end. It was still being built, but it was nearing completion every day. That's when he realized something. Oh my god, he's so dumb, he needs to chat with Joe right now.
Xisuma quickly landed in his base, checking to see if his friend was even online. Thankfully he was and pulled out his communicator to send a message to Joe.
"joe"
"JOE can you come over to my base"
He quickly and nervously paced around his base, waiting for Joe to arrive. Wait, he needed the paper he got just a week ago. X hunted about through his chests, looking for that one piece of paper. He eventually found it and let out a relieved cheer. His communicator beeped, signalling a message in chat. It's from Joe.
"What's up?"
"i'll tell you when you come over please jsut come over right now"
Even though it was text, there was a sense of desperation with those words and it was enough to convince Joe to go to X's base with no clear reason at all. Joe took his elytra and flew over to the admin's half finished base. The Steve looking player land behind Xisuma, whom was mildly distressed. The armored admin turned around and gave a relieved smiled when he saw Joe.
"What's wrong Xisuma?" Joe cautiously asked, noting the upset expression that the admin wore.
He didn't reply and only gave him the paper. The poet curiously gazed at the paper, only to see what was written on there to be Galatic. ".. I can't read this."
X paused, shortly realizing that his friend couldn't read the text. "Oh right. It says 'Do you remember Xelqua?'"
"Xelqua?" The name seemed weird on Joe's tongue, it was odd to pronounce. "Spelt as in X-e-l-q-u-a ?"
"Yeah, anything familiar about how the name is structured?" X questioned, hoping that Joe will connect the dots.
".. Xelqua is a Watcher name, isn't it? But, who's Xelqua?"
Xisuma took a deep breath, nodding as a response in what the poet said.
"I think Xelqua is Grian."
