jaemin couldn't take his eyes off nari. he was not near but he can see her clearly. nari was laughing with donghyuck, he probably cracked a joke about renjun or mark to make her laugh like that. jaemin felt bad about kissing her while he knew his friend fancies her but he liked it. does jaemin like nari? he shouldn't.

he chewed a gum as he tore his gaze away from the two to continue rewriting his notes in anaphy. minji's words struck him hard. is it really a bad thing that he didn't talk to nari about that night? ultimately, yes. but he didn't want to betray his friend so he decided to stay away from nari without warning which is obviously not right.

jaemin didn't notice jeno sitting in front of him until he spoke. "why didn't you talk to nari after kissing her?" ever since he told jeno about it, jeno didn't stop asking him that question. well, why would he stop if jaemin doesn't answer him?

jaemin unconsciously pressed the pencil down to his paper firmly, and came to his senses when the pencil lead snapped. "donghyuck likes her. he told me that since renjun introduced her to us," he quietly told jeno.

jeno was shocked. he likes nari? he thought. he turned his head to look at nari and donghyuck who are still talking with each other. jeno was confused. he was so sure that he saw donghyuck making out with someone who looks like not from their university earlier. that was one thing that he wanted to tell jaemin that's why came to him but he figured that he should tell donghyuck first after hearing jaemin's story.

"and she still likes renjun," jeno's silence made him continue to tell him what has been bothering him. "i don't know what to do with her now since minji's here. i want minji to end up with renjun but i don't want nari to be hurt. but if i helped her with renjun, what kind of a brother am i? and i also don't want hyuck to get hurt, jeno."

that was when jeno understood why jaemin kinda feels off these past few days. there was so much going on in his head. nari still likes renjun? a question popped in his head again. he remembered hearing nari teasing renjun about minji a while ago. maybe it was just a front, to hide her feelings? or maybe to show that she's a supportive friend? or maybe because she doesn't like renjun anymore? who knows? maybe hyuck knows. there is no certain answer to his questions yet but there is onw thing that jeno is sure of.

jaemin likes nari.

he might seem like he's just a caring friend but there's something in jaemin's eyes and smile that tell everyone that he sees nari more than just a friend. it wasn't just mere attraction. jeno confirmed it by the way jaemin's eyes were fixed on the two chatting behind him while they were talking. he seems like he wanted to talk to nari so bad.

jaemin don't seem like he can focus on anaphy longer so he brought out a book from the library in attempt to study again, "jeno, i suck at literature. please help me."

"you also suck at confessing your feelings, want me to help you with that?"
