Think about it. What if everything WAS different? What would happen? How would you change? How would the people around you change? If you think about it, the way things would be different, might even make it more like it once was.

To the sibling of my mother, what a lovely person you are! Are you hanging in there through our country-wide isolation? It can get cumbersome and boring to stay in, I understand, But try to keep it up...you're doing great!
Sometimes I wonder if you wish you hadn't moved away from the sandy shores, With waves crystal clear. I never got to wade out too far though, Seeing as I couldn't swim...still can't!
Do you long to walk alongside the little sand crabs, And pick out the perfect seashells, just waiting to be uncovered? The shimmering rays of sunshine streaming down, Lighting up anything and everything?
Oh the glorious, glittering sands. We'll go back someday, together, and I'll get to see you! Isn't that great?
...I'm sure that the beach misses you too.
Sending love.

Yello! Have you ever gone to the beach before? If you have, and you liked it, then I'm sure you might be able to relate at least a bit to this poem. :)
I know a lot of plans for many families have been shut down in result of COVID, and that can be disappointing. But think about it this way: if you stay healthy now, and help other people stay healthy in the ways that you can, that means that you might be able to reschedule your vacation sooner. A little bit of patience now will lead to good things later.
With that said, I hope you enjoyed this postcard from quarantine, and have a great day!
Thanks for readin'!

Fun fact! I used to paint shells with nail polish when I was younger, which is where the name of this poem comes from. I still have some shells from almost 9 years ago!
These shells aren't mine though, just fished off Google. :D
