~Nerves~
Pay close attention,
For what I am saying is no lie;
Until audition day arrives,
You will feel like you can fly right through perfectly fine.I start off two months before,
Practicing the best I can
For no instrument can play itself,
And you need to make a solid plan.A plan to make you progress,
To keep you going no matter what.
Because practicing less and less,
Won't help a whole lot.I play the music over and over,
Like a runner going through their laps,
Not thinking it is enough
When finally I get to the point,
Where I can play it without messing up.I know I am doing well,
And then something crosses my mind.
When is my audition again? Two days away.
So I keep practicing,
For the oboe is no piece of cake.
Until the night before the audition comes
Where I lay in bed nervous, and wide awake. Then it is the big day!
I play all I know, without any delay,
Hoping that the judges will think I am suffice
And praying that I can keep my anxiousness at bay. After the ordeal is over,
We wait and wait and wait.
What if I don't make it?
For this band means the world to me
And I want to succeed. Then we get the message.
I'm in.

*Careless whisper intensifies*
Hello there my fine-feathered friends! How are you today? Good? I hope so! But if you aren't, that's okay too.
Apologies for not posting a poem at all last weekend, I was swamped with homework, and so I let this be to try and handle school stoof. I hope y'all can understand! Anyhow thank you again for stopping by, and have a lovely day. :3
Thanks for readin'!
Love, Stardusttoad
💜(Fun fact! I wrote this poem 3 years ago for a poem portfolio, so the style is a bit different. However, I just finished a really tough audition on oboe, so it's fitting nonetheless lol)
Also happy birthday Jimin <3
