No Words - Chapter 29

(It was Monday but I decided to skip to Thursday)

Ella's POV

I walked though the corridors of uni. It was about 9 and I was going to have English Literature. 

"Good morning beautiful..." I hear a deep voice and before I knew Dan's lips met mine. 

"Good morning babe." I smile at him. We hadn't been together that much this week. I've been going to the gym with Rose and Emms after classes. And I've had so many exams lately. So I apologised myself with the fact that I had to study. And it was true. I did really have to study. But I knew perfectly that the  wasn't just because I had to study. I tried not to think about it but I haven't been feeling very comfortable with him. It wasn't because that thing that happened on Monday. We were both over that. I've tried my best to hide the slight embarrassment when he kissed me. And I'm glad I've been doing it perfectly. At least, Daniel hadn't noticed anything.

None of us had mentioned the word sex ever since Monday and I'm glad we hadn't. I feel like I wouldn't be able to talk to my boyfriend about sex at least for now. It's a quite embarrassing subject for me. He held my hand and led me through the corridors.

It was Thursday. We weren't going to have classes this afternoon nor tomorrow, which was good... and kind of bad. Daniel is probably gonna invite me over. I know he is. He always wants to spend time with me. There are some exams left and I need to study. Oh god! I'm such a terrible girlfriend! I have the best boyfriend ever who cares a lot about me and I'm trying to escape from him. I thought. 

"Ella...? Ella?" He looks at me.

"Yeah...?" Daniel was holding my hand when I finally 'woke up'.

"Are you okay? You were like... frozen..." He says, looking at me quite concerned.

"Yeah, I'm fine..." I faked a smile. We walked to class and he intertwined his fingers with mine.

We were some minutes late and the teacher was about to start the class when we walked into the room. 

"Where have you been?" The teacher asked.

"She wasn't feeling good, sir..." Daniel answered as we took our seats.

"Hmm... okay..." He glanced at us and then started the classroom. I mouthed a thank you to Dan and he smiled.

Dan's POV

The time went by and it was lunch time now. Ella quickly placed her things inside the bag and I found it quite strange. She was always the last one. When I finished she was already walking to the door. She's been acting so weird... I reached her hand when we were both out of the German classroom. I took a look at her. She seemed distant, not the same Ella from a week ago. 

"Ella..." I looked at her. 

"Yeah..." She asked.

"I was thinking that maybe we could have lunch together, I don't know... you decide..." I scratched the back of my neck.

"Well, I would love to, but I have to study..." She said. I couldn't help but get sad. I tried my best to hide the sadness but Ella knew me too well. 

Ella's POV

I noticed how Dan got devastated when I told him we couldn't have lunch together and I swear, my heart fell to pieces. Him, trying to make me happy, trying to spend time with me and I said no. I'm the worst girlfriend ever. I thought. I can't bear to see him like this.
