"Hold on!" Nick Wilde interrupted Kane. "You were part of some special, secret project!?"
"Can you refrain from asking me any annoying questions right now?" Kane told Nick Wilde, a bit annoyed. "If you interrupt me again, I won't tell you anything else!"
"Okay. Okay. Sheesh!" Nick Wilde complied.
"Now, where was I?" Kane tried to remember before it came back to him. "Oh, yeah. As I was saying..."
-Flashback. Human Earth. Same Secret Government And Military Base In The United States That Was In The Previous Flashback. 23 Years Ago.
At the same secret government and military base somewhere in The United States and exactly 1 month after the events of the last flashback and when Kane got his name, some of the scientists that worked for Danny Atoms were all now sitting down in their own private meeting room, which was quite similar to the one all those high-ranking members of the U.S. Government and Military had been using, only this room was reserved only for the scientists and Danny Atoms himself to use. Speaking of Danny Atoms, their boss was there at the meeting and he didn't look happy.
This was because ever since Danny Atoms had first revealed and proposed his project to all those high-ranking U.S. Government and Military officials at that other meeting one month ago, he and his fellow scientists had been unable to continue their work. The reason for this was that in order to do what this so-called project would entail, he and the other scientists working under him needed both permission and the funds before they could proceed any further.
But, as you may have guessed, about over two thirds of all those members of the American Government and Military, who had been present at that meeting had refused to give him and the others their consent nor the money and resources that their project needed. This made Danny Atoms quite frustrated, but there was nothing that he could do about it.
"Those fools!" Danny Atoms shouted out angrily as he slammed his fists down on the meeting table in the room. "Our foes are getting stronger each year and crime is at an all-time high! In order to counter this, we need to take drastic measures! But no! Those idiots in the government and the military just don't see that!"
"It doesn't help that we need at least over 80% of them to agree with our project, especially considering what we're proposing on doing as well!" One male, black scientist said. "We'll never be able to convince them otherwise!"
"Oh! I think they'll change there minds alright, Greg Veil!" Danny Atoms spoke. "Especially if the rumors that we've been hearing are true!"
"Rumors?" Greg Veil, The Scientist inquired.
"As my right-hand man, I'm surprised you haven't heard, Greg!" Danny replied. "There's word going around in the government and the military that China, Iran, Russia and North Korea are planning to form a powerful military alliance!"
Hearing this, Greg and the other scientist all gasped in shock and fear! "What!?" Greg demanded.
