It had been a long time since he has been sleeping. Hayme had called for Goncagul and Nuray Hatun for questioning. So she wanted him to be awaken now because he was the only man present in the marquee right now. She came inside the tent and watched him sleeping peacefully. She sighed and came forward.
"Sungur?" She called and placed her hand on his shoulder, Sungur immediately held her hand in his firm grip and gave it a jolt. Hayme shrieked as he came back to his senses.
"Ana? Are you alright?" He asked bewildered. Traces of sleep evident from his eyes. Hayme rubbed her wrist as he sat up in his bed.
"Sungur? What was that?" She asked with annoyance.
"Next time, when you wake me up, move my feet. Okay. Otherwise I will hurt you someday." He said. "It's just a precaution. When I was in the Mongolian army, I always slept restlessly. Because of the threat of revelation of my identity."
"You should be easy now. You are home!" Hayme said softly and stood up. "Now get yourself together, I have called for Nuray and Goncagul." Sungurtekin nodded and got out of his bed. Hayme went out of the marquee. After picking his dagger and sword, he too came outside. Hayme was sitting in the beylic chair while Goncagul hatun and Nuray hatun were standing in front of her.
"Do you both know what our nomad group is tested with?" Hayme asked. Nuray stared at him with complain in his eyes. Goncagul just nodded at Hayme. "As it is not enough what these traitors did to our Nomad Group they have an eye on our marquee now!" Goncagul looked at Sungurtekin. For a moment their eyes met then she looked away immediately. But Sungurtekin never stopped staring at her, There was a constant smile on her face. Nuray also noticed so she also tried to be look calmer. "These betrayals pushed me from one suspicion to another." Hayme was saying. "You will be the wife of Gundogdu and a daughter to me, Goncagul. As for you Nuray, I already gave you the position of my daughter in this marquee. You both have to fulfill your duty until this dirt is cleaned."
"You are right, Hayme Ana!" Goncagul smiled. "But I am the daughter of this marquee. The misdeed made to this tent means that it had happened to me." Sungurtekin fused his brows. What is she implying? "But there is nothing that I saw nor heard. If I had, I would have told you immediately."
"May be there is something that you don't remember?" Hayme asked nicely. Goncagul thought for some time. Nuray stared at her. Hayme ana was not asking her any questions than why did she call her?
"I thought so many time, Hayme Ana! There is nothing that I saw nor heard." Goncagul insisted. The curtains of the marquee were raised and in came Gümüştekin. They all turned to him. There was a clear pride on Goncagul's face now. He stopped in front of them, stared at the two women standing and said,
"I hope nothing is wrong, Hayme Ana! Do you see your enemies among your children now?"
"Why are you so anxious, Gümüştekin Bey?" Hayme smiled. "Why does a person who has been in Seljuk palace like you, rush when we do the necessary?"
"What is it that makes you angry, Gümüştekin Bey?" Sungurtekin asked. "Everbody must perform what it takes to clean this stain!" Gümüştekin remained silent. Hayme was also staring at him with question in her eyes.
Yes now you are silent!
Just then Gunkut entered the marquee.
"Hayme Ana! Korkut bey got worse." He said. Hayme stood up. "What are you saying?" She asked and rushed out. Sungurtekin looked at Nuray who was also shocked. Gümüştekin and Goncagul exchanged glances and went after Hayme. Nuray was about to follow them when Sungurtekin came in her way.
