The night had passed. They all had slept late in the night yet here they were. All present in the Kayi marquee.
Hayme was sitting in the beylic chair while Sungurtekin, Ertugrul, Tugtekin, and Artuk were sitting on the cushions. The women except Selcan were present in the tent with Halime and Gunduz. Ertugrul had named the child Gunduz in front of everyone last night. When Sungurtekin had asked the reason behind this name, he had smiled:
"Baba wanted it to be this one."
Sungurtekin had felt a pang of jealousy in him at that moment but he smiled at his foolishness. If his father had been alive, surely he would have told him the names of his children-to-be.
"Abi?" Ertugrul snapped his fingers in front of his face. Sungurtekin came out of his thoughts and turned to him.
"What?" He looked around.
"What do you think?" Ertugrul asked.
"About what?"
"About this court, we are going to set?" Tugtekin said.
"We should set a court immediately. I mean today. Because if we will delay it, we will have to deal with emir Sadetin kopek. He will give us a very hard time. Even after the court." He said. Hayme nodded at him. "At that time, we will need the support of the Turkmen seigionery. It will be important for us. We need to take them in confidence against Kopek and Gumustekin. The justice of our court will cut the indefility as a knife." He said. Ertugrul nodded.
"Artuk bey, Lead the headquarters today if Tugtekin bey seems it to be appropriate," Hayme said.
"Hayme ana is right, My anger hinders my justice." Tugtekin nodded. Sungurtekin turned to Ertugrul in amusement who smiled at the fact that Tugtekin was finally considering his anger.
"If you seem it appropriate, then I will do what my duty requires." Artuk nodded.
"I do not want to behead him," Tugtekin said. Then looked at Ertugrul. "If Ertugrul bey did not wake me up from the slumber, my halters would be in the hands of that cur." They all just listened to him intently as he continued. "They would fool around my tribe. That is why beheading Gumustekin is Ertugrul's duty." He announced. Ertugrul looked around in shock. No one resisted so he turned to Tugtekin.
"Tugtekin bey, beheading Gumustekin is halal for you."
"Ertugrul bey, I insist!" Tugtekin said in an affirming tone. Ertugrul turned to Sungurtekin this time.
"You were the one from whom he stole the seal and broke our trust, Abi." Sungurtekin knew where he was going with this. "You were the one who exposed the reality of that bastard to us. You have the right to behead him."
"Kardeşim! That bastard hit all of us hard. We all have a right to behead him. But I think you should do this. Let's not expose me in front of the people." Sungurtekin suggested.
"Eyvallah," Ertugrul nodded in understanding. Then he turned to his mother who also nodded giving him her permission.
"Let's not let this matter wait anymore." She said standing up. They all followed.
Soon there was a trial going on in the marquee. Turgut and Bamsi brought Gumustekin. He kept standing in front of Artuk and Hayme. The women were also present except Halime. She was inside the tent with Gunduz.
"With the permission of the beys, I will hold the headquarters because I don't have any kinship with Korkut bey." Artuk bey said. "All we want is justice, Gumustekin bey!" Gumustekin looked around him.
