After Hayme had gone inside her tent, Sungurtekin turned to Artuk bey,
"There is something I need you to tell me, Artuk bey." He said. "The old woman who Selcan hatun had been talking about, who is she?" He asked.
"Before I came to this place as a medic, she was the healer of the nomad group. After Korkut bey gave me the medic duty she kept herself in silence." Artuk replied.
"Healer, he said!" Sungurtekin turned to Ertugrul.
"Then she must know how to make a poison," Ertugrul said to him. Sungurtekin nodded.
"Yes, she did!" Artuk told them.
"They both were poisoned with the same vial, yet my uncle died and Aytolun lived. That is sickening!" Sungurtekin said.
"According to Selcan hatun, when the old woman came in the tribe, Aytolun dismissed her!" Ertugrul sighed.
"Obviously, there is an ominous secret between Aytolun and this old woman. We never thought on this line before!" Sungurtekin said. He seemed to be deep in thought.
"Whatever this secret is, it kept her alive and my uncle dead!" Ertugrul said.
"Isn't it obvious, Ertugrul?" Sungurtekin turned to him. " Aytolun is the one who did this."
"We don't have any proof!" Ertugrul said.
"Sometimes you don't need proof! I believe her! And I will find the proof as well! Now you tell me how are you going to plan Banu Cicek's escape tonight?" Sungurtekin said. They both had turned to each other, forgetting the presence of Artuk bey who felt a little awkward and stood up.
"With your permission, I would like to leave now." He said.
"No Artuk bey, we need you here." Ertugrul said. Artuk sat again. Sungurtekin stared at Ertugrul in confusion,
"What is your plan?" He asked.
"Dogan alp!" Ertugrul replied. A satisfactory smile spread on Sungurtekin's face.
"And what about the guardian alps?" Artuk asked.
"They will be sleeping at that moment." Sungurtekin looked at Ertugrul for confirmation. He had gotten his plan. Ertugrul nodded and turned to Artuk bey.
"You will provide a poisonous Sherbet to Dogan alp. Can you do that?" He asked. Artuk nodded. Ertugrul stood up.
"Very well then, I am going to talk to Dogan alp now." He said and left the marquee. Artuk followed him outside. Sungurtekin sighed and went inside the tent.
...........................
After the funeral of Korkut bey, Hayme and Ertugrul went to Dodurgas marquee to convince Tugtekin to held bey ceremony. Sungurtekin, on the other hand, had stayed out of this. He was not in the mood of talking to Tugtekin, so he went to find Nuray hatun. She was not in the marquee, neither was Halime so he thought they might be in Selcan hatun's tent. As he reached and was about to ask for the permission, he heard someone, someone odd. It was Goncagul!
What is this serpent eyed woman doing here?! He wondered.
"When this is all over you will loose, Selcan hatun!" Goncagul was saying.
"Do you know why I am happy, Goncagul?" Came Selcan's voice. Sungurtekin was listening intently. "You cannot act sly anymore. Your only weapon is living like a bug in nooks and crannies and distress the ones that you are able to grip on. But you will not be able to do that anymore. I whirled your own evil around you. Let us see if you can escape from that." Selcan said mockingly.
