It was very late now. Gokce wanted to go to her tent with her man. Life had been really unpredictable for her. First thing she had learned in her life was the death of her father. They had said that he was a traitor and so his best friend Suleyman Shah had to kill him. Then he took her and her sister Selcan into his own custody. Gokce was a very small girl at the time so it was really easy for her to accept all that had happened in her life. Also Hayme and Suleyman Shah had never considered both of them as their adoptive daughters but Selcan was old enough to understand what had happened to her father. The seeds of negativity had sprouted in her by then. She always tried to convince her younger sister but was never succeeded. So she had filled her ears with the fact that she was going to marry the younger son of Suleyman Shah, Ertugrul. Just like she herself had married the eldest one, Gundogdu. But her plan went flop when Ertugrul found himself a Seljuk Princess Halime Sultan. Gokce who had loved him with all her heart tried her best to get his attention but didn't succeed. She even lost her ability to reproduce in order to protect Ertugrul's life. She accepted the fact that she could never give birth to a child and it was really important for a bey to continue his lineage so she had stepped away from Ertugrul's path. And when she thought that she will never be happy again, she found Tugtekin. A peaceful smile appeared on her face when she imagined his face, his deep eyes staring at her full of emotions and love. He told her how to love someone and how to be loved.
"They say it right," She smiled staring at the bright moon on the sky. "There is good in every bad thing."
When she had finished her journey to the past, she stood up from the log she had been sitting and went towards the Marquee. She went to Aytolun's tent in order to see if she needed something and then she will go to her own tent where Tugtekin must be waiting for her. But he was inside his mother's tent. She could hear him from the marquee. She smiled, which had become a part of her face now, and went towards the curtains.
"May I come in, Ana?" She asked for permission.
"Come in, kizim." Called Aytolun. Gokce smiled and entered the tent. Aytolun and Tugtekin were standing in the middle of the tent. They must have been deep in conversation as it appeared because they both had gone silent after she had entered.
"I came here to say good night and to ask if you needed something?" She said, coming towards them.
"I don't. Good night." Aytolun smiled back. Gokce turned to Tugtekin, who stared at her with grave expression and went outside the tent. The smile on Gokce's face suppressed immediately. She turned to Aytolun.
"What happened, Ana?" She asked.
"Nothing. Good night." Aytolun smiled but there was something in her smile that made Gokce suspicious.
"Goodnight." She replied and went to her tent. When she entered she saw him standing with his back towards the entrance. She went and stood behind him.
"Do you want anything, bey?" She asked cautiously. Tugtekin turned towards her slightly.
"I am tired and I just want to sleep." He said. Gokce sighed and took a step towards him.
"I know your pain is fresh but tell me the thing that you could not tell me." She asked. This time Tugtekin turned to her but he was still not looking at her. As if he had been told something that he didn't want to believe.
"Is it true that you were in love with Ertugrul once?" He asked. The words hit Gokce's face like a rope. Her lips parted slightly as Tugtekin raised his gaze to examine her reaction. Gokce had only a moment to decide what she should say and in that moment she took the greatest decision of her life. She held his hands in her own and sighed slightly.
