Rick is standing quietly on top of an old factory they had come across for the night. He watches as the sun rises and highlights the broken city before him. His thoughts are all over the place. His mind jumps from the people they just lost, the safety of the CDC they thought they had but is now gone, the secrets he now knows.

The little body cradled in his arms starts to squirm causing him to look down. He ran a finger down her cheek as she adjusts but continues to sleep the morning away. His heart is still broken, he could have lost her. How could the women he loved, the mother of this beautiful little creation in his arms, just leave her there. Lori dragged Carl to safety yes but she left her daughter sitting on the floor of a building that was about to explode. There's no way it was an accident, Addy had been screaming and crying so loudly, it could have been heard from the outside of the building.

He shook his head trying not to let his thoughts get to dark. He had to be strong, strong for the group, strong for kids. He needs to look forward, to find safety for everyone. He needed to be focus. He couldn't afford to mess up, not now. Those are the kinds of mistakes that get people killed.

He sits down on the roof and lays Addy down across his lap so that he can pull out the walkie talkie from his back pocket without dropping her. He looks back up at the view of the city before him and starts his morning message to Morgan.

"I guess I'm loosing hope that you can hear me. But there's always that chance, isn't there? That slim chance. It's all about slim chances now. I try to do everything right, keep people safe. I tried Morgan, I tried. Our groups smaller now, we lost another the day before last. It was her choice, I wouldn't say I blame her. She lost faith. The CDC was a dead end. I met a man there, a scientist. He told me something....he told me....it doesn't matter, what matters is we're moving on. Atlanta's done. We're gonna try Fort Benning . We're facing a long hard journey, maybe even harder then I can imagine. But it can't be harder then out journeys been so far... can it? A hundred and twenty five miles, that's what lies ahead. And I'm trying hard not to lose faith. I can't, if I do the others... my family... my son... my daughter... there's just a few of us now so we got to stick together, fight for each other. Be willing to lay down our lives for each other if it comes to that. It's the only chance we've got.... be careful out there Morgan. I hope you and Dwayne are ok. Stay off the road, keep moving, keep your eyes open... I don't know... just... just be safe. Maybe we'll see you in Fort Benning someday... Rick... signing off."

Rick stands back up with Addy carefully, he looks over the buildings again. He knows he will probably never see this site again. Addy choose this moment to finally wake up. She blinks her eyes open and sees her daddy. She grabs his shirt and pulls herself upwards to him making him jump "wow, you scared me baby girl. I didn't realise you were awake. How's my princess this morning?"

Addy giggled as she rubbed her eyes with her fist "dada, up time." Rick nods and kisses the side of her head "yeah baby it is up time. We have a big day ahead of us. You ready?" Addy nods her head and smiles then leans forward and kisses ricks cheek "luf you dada. Were Carl?" She turns her head side ways when she asks him cause him to giggle at her adorable little face. "Down stairs baby, don't worry he's ok. They're just getting everything packed up and ready. What do you say we go an help?"

Addy nods again "ya, we hep." Rick shakes his head smiling as he walks down the stairs "no baby, it's help with an l" Addy looks up at him "oooo, oops. Ahh hep h...h..hel..help. Ya?" Rick nods "good girl baby, your getting there. Just wait, you'll be having full blown conversations with us before can blink." Addy scrunched up her nose "I binked, no work." This makes rick laugh harder.

When he got outside, he see's they were just finished up the last bits of shuffling the cars around. Daryl was going to ride his brothers bike and we were only going to be leaving with one car and the RV. We needed to conserve petrol for the trip.
