Rick looked around and saw Shane was on his way back to the barn. He started walking down there because Carl was down there and the rest of the group. He walked down and kept glancing at addy as she steeped in his arms.

He saw dale and Carl start walking towards them. "Hey bud. Where you off to?" He pats Carl's head. Carl looked at addy and sighs "just up to the house. Mum wants me to rest.... is.... is she ok?" Rick nods "yeah bud, she's ok. Just sleeping. Poor little thing must be tired from her adventure." He smiled sadly.

Carl looked down, he felt horrible "dad....I'm sorry....I wasn't watching her...I should have been. I'm her older brother. I'm meant to look out for her and I didn't." Rick pulled Carl into a hug, careful not to wake addy "don't think like that ok, mistakes were made. We learn from them and move forward. I should have made sure I got someone specifically to watch her. But look. She's ok. She's with us and we'll keep her safe. Now why don't you go rest." Carl nodded and leaned over to kissed addy's head. Rick put his sheriff hat back on Carl's head "you dropped that." Carl smiled up at him before walking off with dale.

Rick walked over to where the others were standing. He looked around at all the bodies. He still couldnt get his head focused from what had happened. It was horrible. T-dog called out to him "you want us to start burying?" Andrea also looked to him "we need a service. Carol would want that." T-dog nodded "yeah, we all want that.

Rick just stood there. He didn't know how to answer them right in that moment. His mind was so full. He couldn't stick to one specific thought or task. Lori stepped up between him and Shane and could see rick struggling "let's um.... let's dig a grave for Sophia and Annette and Shawn. Ahhh.... over by those trees. And we'll need a truck to move the bodies."

Jimmy nodded and went to move "I'll go get the keys" but Shane put his arm up to stop him. He still had a horrible attitude "I got the truck." Jimmy was confused but turned back to ask "and the others? That's a lot of digging." Andrea spoke up "we bury the ones we love and burn the rest."

Rick listened to them all but just didn't really register what was going on. Lori stepped up to him and touched his arm gently. He finally broke out of his head and looked at her then down at addy. He watched her to make sure she was still breathing fine and she was. Lori whispered to him "what did hershel say?"

Rick readjusted his hold on addy so her head was in his shoulder as he spoke to Lori "he wants us off the farm....or Shane at least." Lori sighed deeply and looked at addy. She genuinely felt bad at not noticing she had gone missing. Her conscious was finally catching up to her a bit. She looked down at the ground "well that's not a surprise. We're lucky someone wasn't killed.... and all that gun fire, more walkers could've heard it."

As Lori spoke, rick couldn't get the thought of Sophia out of his head. He felt so guilt. He couldn't save Sophia. What if he can't save his own kids. The heavyness in his heart was just getting worse the more and thought about it.

Lori noticed he wasn't truly listening "Rick, what is it?" Rick looked at the barn heartbroken "she was there all the time." She knew he always took things like this hard. She may not be able to win him back right now but she could at least be supportive "and you did everything you could."

Rick looked back down at addy sadly "yeah, I know. I always do, don't i? Went after her, protected her, killed those walkers. But she still got bit. Carl got shot, addy got lost... people counting on me and I had them chasing a ghost in a forest." Lori could see he was breaking. She reached out to touch his cheek but he quickly pulled away and walked off. He needed to be alone. Just him and addy. He needed to feel her safe in his arms. He could have lost her just like Sophia and the thought sickens him.

...

After a while addy finaly woke up. She looked up at her daddy who smiled down at her. She smiled and rubbed her face into his chest, she was so happy to wake up to him. She didn't want him to go away again. She didn't like to. "Daddy. Luf you." Rick smiled and kissed her cheek "I love you too baby. You and Carl are my everything. My hole reason for living. You still hurting Bub?" She nodded and lifted her heads "I go hurts."

Rick took one of her hands and kissed her palm better. She held the other out and he did the same. She smiled so sweetly. He's terrified of the day she no long smiles like that, he never wants her to lose it. Not her beautiful smiles.

Glen walks up slowly "rick...it's time." Rick looked up at him and nodded. He put addy on her feet and stood. She lifted her arms up to him not ready to be that far away from him. He smiled and picked her up. Walking up to glen and patted his shoulder as they walked over to the group.

Everyone stood there silently looking at the graves. This time no words were said. No one had it in them to speak. Everyone was just as broken by this as everyone else. Everyone started walking away to have there own time. As rick turned and started walking, Carl quickly caught up to him and walked beside him. Rick put his arm over Carl's shoulder and hugged him as they walked off.

...

Rick said goodbye as Carl went off to rest some more. Addy and Carl had a good conversation and she was doing really well with her words. Rick let her down and she walked along with him as they walked down to the barn were the others were finished up.

"Don't look baby" rick said as he turned her to face away from the bodies. He turned to t-dog and Andrea as they carried a body "a few more trips?" Andrea replies "we got lucky. If that barn had any more, we could've been overrun." T-dog agreeed "good thing Shane did what he did, when he did"

Dale was shocked at the words "you can't tell me this was right." Rick shook his head "it wasn't. It'll cost us with hershel." He looked down and watched addy pick up a shoe and put it on the open tailgate. She was so cute when she tried to help.

Andrea patted her head as she walked passed and back to ricks side "he's grieving. He'll come around, see we had no choice. Look, i shot too. This wasn't all Shane." T-dog spoke up "look, I got no qualms about it. Walkers in my backyard? Mmm-mmm" he shook his head.

Dale tried to say his point of view "I'm not saying that we shouldn't have taken care of the problem. But creating a panic?" Lori had walked up to them at this point and cut him off "there's no point in arguing about it. It's done. There's nothing we can do about it."

Rick listened to everyone's view but he just couldn't get over what Shane did. It was more then just what he did, it's how it did it and everything else that rick has been noticing with Shane. All there conversations. Shane was losing it.

T-dog walked around to the truck "better get moving." Rick watched Andrea and t-dog get ready to leave. He looked at dale and started walking with him "baby girl come on." She gasped when she realised he had started walking and quickly chased after him and dale "daddy, wait!" Rick smiled lightly at dale and she ran into his legs giggling.
