Chapter Twenty-Four: Cliffhanger

No ones POV
It's been a week since the meeting with the captains.
Asta woke up with a jolt.
"The Test is today!" Asta said with pure excitement.
Asta got dressed and went downstairs.
"Hello luck!" Asta said seeing that Luck was eating some breakfast with Charmy.
"Oh hey Asta! The test is today! I'm a little excited for it!" Luck said taking a bite out of the potatoe he was eating.
"Come on replenish your energy Asta! Today's the big day!" Said Luck gesturing for me to sit down.
Asta sat down avoiding eye contact with Charmy since he felt that Charmy was still pissed off with Asta for that incident.

Asta sat down and ate quickly. Afterwards he got up and headed out to train in the forest before anyone could talk to him.

Asta's POV
I walked outside to go training but the truth is I just wanted to avoid all the Black Bulls members.
I could tell some of the really DIDNT like me.
It wasn't that big of a deal but okay. As long as I'm not hurt in anyway.
Maybe I should practice some of my spells.
Nahhh I'll be testing those out of the battle field.
Do ya think they'll be powerful?
Most likely.
Well if they really are that powerful I could go into devil form. The problem with that is I might kill them.
Eh whatever I'm sure they have top notch doctors to heal everyone even if they are on the verge of death.
Suddenly a bird flew on my head.
"Well hey there buddy! How are you today?" I asked the bird.
For some reason this bird looks sadistic.
Haha looks like it hasn't slept in days!
I sat inside the mouth of the demon king. It's a skeleton now but I'd say he looks pretty badass.
"ASTA!!! HURRY UP OR WE'LL BE LATE!" Luck yelled.
"Well cya later birdie." I said getting up from my oh so comfortable spot.

We all gathered at the meeting place.
Then the Wizard King came onto stage
"Hello everyone thank you all for gathering here today. As you know this is for the Royal Knights Squad to take down the Midnight Sun.
We will be picking about 20 people. We have the best doctors on standby if you are injured and need medical attention.
You will be picked based on your performance and skill.
Everyone do their best!" The Wizard king said while everyone starts to clap.
"Here are the rounds and here are your teams. Please talk about your strategy now." Marx continues showing us a chart of all the rounds.
It looks like I'm paired up with Zoro and Mimosa.
Now as much as I hate teaming up with people I have to admit they are pretty handy.
Well actually the only thing they see Handy at are healing. Although I can heal myself it is quite a hassle since we'll be on the battle field.

We were versing some ugly guys from the Purple Orca. They seemed pretty weak.
I turned around and started talking to my team.
"Alright team lets do our best!" I said doing a thumbs up.
"W-wait we need a plan A-Asta!" Mimosa said.
Why was she stuttering? What is she scared of me. I had my mask on so that was probably it.
"Plan? No need for a plan we've got this under control! Right?" I said letting my bloodlust out.
Of course we've got this under control.
Oops did I say we've got this under control? Well I meant I've got this under control.

"Begin!" the Wizard King said.

I snapped back into reality and stopped my bloodlust.
Too much bloodlust?
Yeah definitely I could see Mimosa tremble a bit. Well I've gotta admit if you were a regular person your be on your knees.
I snickered at the thought of everyone here in their knees.

All of the Sudden the Purple Orcas lunged at us.

"Boy is This going to be fun."
