CHAPTER 12 | QUESTION

Hanggang kailan ba natin paglalaruan ang sarili sa mga desisyong hindi naman mananatili?

Everything is so very unexpected. The talent competition went well and we are the crowd's favorite! Even if I almost did something crazy, Race didn't bother paying attention to it.

But what surprised me the most is how Race's parents forced my parents to eat together in one place. My mom was a bit uncomfortable about that decision but she don't have any choice but to still prove herself in front of the intimidating Saldivar.

Hindi rin ako komportableng nagsama kami sa iisang lamesa ngayon. I don't know why would the Saldivar's wants us to be with them. Yes, I know that my parents knew them but why are they acting so weird?

Exactly 12 noon when our food arrived. We are in an expensive restaurant located inside the Centrio Ayala mall. This mall was the only nearest mall from our University so they we decided to eat here.

Nakakahiya ang atmospera naming lahat lalo na't nasa tapat namin ang pamilya Saldivar. At ang mas nakakatawa ay isinama ng aking mga magulang si Clark. Halos mawalan ako ng hininga kanina dahil sa mga nangyayari.

Ba't ba kami nasa iisang lugar?

Napag-alaman ko din na Camila pala ang pangalan ng mommy ni Race. This is so unexpected and embarrassing but I need to go with the flow.

"I'm so happy that our children have a good chemistry on stage!" Mrs. Camila broke the silence while we were in the middle of eating. I focused myself on eating just to avoid eye contact with them.

"Yeah! They're good," komento naman ni Mommy.

Napabaling ang atensyon ko sa babaeng kapatid na si Maria Elisse. Napansin kong nag-uusap sila sa kapatid ni Race na si Ethan at para bang may sarili silang mundo. Wow, kaibigan na kaagad sila?

I heard earlier that our performance is viral and it spread so fast to the whole University! Unbelievable.

Nagdaan ang ilang minuto na kaming dalawa ni Race ang laman ng usapan sa hapagkainan. Hindi nagpapatalo ang mga magulang ko sa pagsasabi ng kung ano-ano tungkol sakin. They were like making Race and I a competition.

Ngunit biglang nag-iba ang atmospera pagkatapos naibaling kay Clark ang kanilang usapan.

"Anyways, hi hijo. I heard that you are Crystal's son, right?" Mrs. Camila suddenly asked Clark who is sitting beside me. I turned my attention to him but he was unbothered by the question.

"Yes, ma'am" he formally answered, with respect. Clark and her mom was gone yesterday and I know that they were the one Race's parents are finding.

"You have a sister, right?" Mr. Arthur interrupted. Race's dad.
