CHAPTER 19 | MINE
"Bea," Nathalie slowly called my name.
"Nat. How are you? Are you fine?" I asked her instead. I know that I am not the best person that she has but I'm still worried about her.
"Bea, I just want to talk to you" she said and didn't answer my question.
Her eyes looked like she's going to say important.
I want to know what she's up to but I also want her to say those words, without being force.
"Be, hindi ko na kaya. Nasasaktan na ako," she suddenly said while pain is obvious in her voice.
"Bakit, Nat? Ano ba kasing nangyayari sa'yo?" tanong ko at nilapitan siya.
"Pasensya ka na dahil hindi ko kayo kayang pagkatiwalaan. Pasenya na dahil mas tinalikuran ko kayo," she sincerely apologized so I hugged her then she also hugged me back.
"Bea, I know everything" Nat suddenly said after she let of my hug.
"What everything?"
"I know about the lost child, Be. I know I'm not in the position to meddle with those things and it freaking makes me guilty. Natatakot lang akong may makaalam," biglang sagot niya kaya napaawang sa bibig ko.
"How did you know about that?" I asked her and she looked directly into my eyes.
"Hindi ko din alam kung paano ko nalaman. But I'm just telling you to not break my trust in this, Be. I know something about you and Race, so please don't tell this to him" Nathalie begged me that made me nervous.
Paano niya nalaman ang lahat ng ito?
"Then who is the lost child? Where is the lost child?" I curiously asked.
"I can't tell you that, Be. I can't. And the reason why I was hiding because Race's parents knew that I knew," Nat answered me.
I closed my eyes for a second while trying to process everything. Why are we living in such mess and secrets? Can the past leave us so that we can already move forward?
"Nat, I can't understand why the destiny is playing our lives. Clark and Race is involved, and also you! Don't tell me that even Mitch's parents also knew something about this,"
"Bea, you need to confront your parents. It's so funny how our parents are all related to the past. And we're like the curse of the present because the things that they did before was passed on to us,"
