CHAPTER 3 | PARTNER

"I can't believe you really said that to him!" Mitch unexpectedly reacted. She's referring to what I've said to Race last night.

"You should thank me," I answered before taking a bite of my sandwich.

"I love you, Be. You're the super duper amazing friend ever," she proudly said so I just nod.

"So, what's his reply?" Mitch asked me.

"I haven't seen it yet," I answered. And as if naman kung mag re-reply 'yon.

"Yow," our attention diverted to Clark who suddenly appeared while holding his snack.

"Yow," I said.

We talked for a minute before Nathalie appeared wearing a very proud smile.

"Baliw ka?" I asked Nathalie after she sat in front of me.

"Guess what? Naka puntos ako sa interview kay Race," masayang sambit ni Nat kaya nakita kong sinamaan siya ng tingin ni Mitch.

"Oops, wala akong ginawang masama ha" Nat immediately defended herself.

"Tumigil nga kayo diyan," singit ni Clark kaya napatahimik nalang kami.

"Siguraduhin mo lang na hindi mo pinagnasahan," paniniguro ni Mitch kay Nat.

"Girl, I swear! Nagtanong lang talaga ako," sagot ni Nathalie at nag 'promise sign'.

"He even told me that Bea already apologized to him! And it's a bonus for my news," Nat proudly said to us.

Mitch nodded as if I did a very successful move.

I smiled bitterly because I realized something. It was 3 years ago and until now she's still don't have any plan to move on. She even changed herself just for the guy who doesn't pay attention to her existence.

It's so hard for me. Because as a friend, I am just being used as a tool to someone she likes. And I don't know if this is what a true friendship is. But whatever may happen, I won't stop supporting her even if it hurts me.

Friday when our Health adviser, Mr. Santos gestured me to follow him outside the classroom after our Health class. I was nervous because I don't know what he's going to say.

"The faculty and staff for senior high school department wants you to participate for the upcoming Mr. and Ms. Nutrition Month. Exemption of exams to all subjects if you will win. And additional 10 points for the performance task if not," Mr. Santos said that made me surprised. Seriously?
