"So do you want a snack? I've got Goldfish and Teddy Grams?" I ask ignoring his last comment then mentally slap myself.

I literally couldn't have been anymore goddamn awkward.

He chuckles quietly and says "I'm fine, thanks, let's just get to the project"

"Sounds like a plan... let's head up stairs." I say cringing at my previous statement and guide him up to my room.

He plops down on my beanbag chair as I pull out my supplies and start working.

I begin asking him questions on what he wants to do with our project, but I notice he didn't take out any of his books or computer.

Instead, he got back up and was exploring my room looking at all of the souvenirs and other accessories on the shelves.

I watch him intently for a moment and see him play with my stuffed turtle from Aruba, which makes me laugh.

However my amusement is abruptly cut off and my eyes go wide when I see he's near the area where my pictures are and I notice I forgot to put them away.

Oh crap this won't be good

I quickly try to think of something to say in an attempt to take his attention away from the photos.

"Yo what are you doing? We need to work on this project. I didn't invite you over for you to look at all my shit. Can we please get this project going?" I say slightly aggravated and also hoping he didn't see the pile of pictures next to my jewelry box.

"Aww but this is so much fun!" He then picks up a picture of me as a baby with cake all over my face and says "Is this you? Is this little baby Marina? Crazy from day one huh?" he asks in a mock tone making a pouty face.

"That's it! For fucks sakes can you take anything seriously?" I yell leaping off my bed and grabbing the picture from his hand slapping it back down on the dresser.

I grab the rest of the pictures, shove them into the jewelry box, and slam it shut.

I look back to him and he's only a few inches away from me with a small smile and an eyebrow raised.

He moves in even closer and says "Is somebody mad?" drawing out the a sound.

My heart starts to beat faster and my breathing quickens. His eyes are staring intensely into mine and I feel like I'm stuck in his gaze. I then glance down to his lips for a split second and look back up instantly regretting what I had just done.

He seems to realize I'm nervous, and the small smile he had before grows bigger.

I gather myself together and cooly respond "No Dylan I'm not mad." I brush past his shoulder and go back to my spot on the bed.

"In fact, I'm so not mad that I've decided you should handle the essay section on this project" I say excitedly clapping my hands.

"Ughhhhh what the fuck!" he groans and lets his head fall back.

"Hey, what can I say, you brought it on yourself"

"Fine you know what Marina? Get ready to be blown away! This is going to be the best damn essay you've ever seen. It'll be so good, you wouldn't even be able to do better!"

"Whatever O'Brien, just get to work" I state shaking my head at how childish he was

"Oh so we're on a last name basis now?" he says walking towards me wiggling his eyebrows

"No just do your damn work" I exclaim suppressing a laugh

"Ok ok calm down!" Dylan actually had a genuine smile on his face and it made me smile too.

Something about him draws me in but I know he's no good

After two hours of working on the project, we're finally making reasonable progress, and surprisingly, like he said, his essay was quite good, but it was starting to get late so I decided to call it a night.

I could tell Dylan was a bit overworked, because he was half asleep slumped over on my beanbag chair.

His eyes were closed and his face was squished together into an adorable pout. I bit the side of my lip a little to make sure I didn't let my smile show.

He looked so cute and I felt like a weirdo just staring so I tap his arm to wake him up.

"Whoa... what time is it?" He looked up at me with the most gorgeous tired eyes. They looked so dark and alluring and his lips look so soft and perfect.

His hair was messy and his jawline stood out under the low lighting of my room.

"It's almost 7:30, I think my parents and sister will be home soon so you should probably head out" I say while subtly admiring his face.

He realizes I'm staring, but before he can see me blush I look away and try my best to play it off.

"Alrighty then!" Dylan says hopping up "Guess I'll head out before it get's any later"

He then pauses for a moment "Unless, you know, you had other plans in mind" he says with a devious smile.

"Ewww oh my god get out!" I gasp in surprise and lightly push him out the door to my room

Once we reach the door downstairs, he turns to walk out, but before he walks away, he whips back around and says "Always a pleasure working with you Stone!"

"Hey last names are MY thing O'Brien! You better take that back!" I declare with pride and put my hands on my hips

"Not anymore hun" he says all too happily and winks at me.

Before I can make a comment on him calling me hun, he's in his car.

I don't know why he has such an affect on me, but what I do know is that I need to get my shit together
