I must be sleeping... You thought, looking around.
It seemed... Familiar?
Upon closer inspection, a screen had light up.
You Died.
Re-spawning in 30 secs.
"WHAT?!"
"I am- terribly sorry about that.." a voice spoke from behind.
You spun around, your eyes swelling with tears.
Cosmo stood behind you, arms open for a hug.
You ran forward, wrapping your shaking arms around your friend, "B-But you- How?"
He chuckled a bit, returning your hug, "I won't be here for long... Part of me stayed in the Glove as well, but I used what power it had to help you..."
No! Please!
"You can't leave me again.!" You cried, releasing him.
"I know, but I cannot control that..."
He wiped your tears softly, "Don't cry because of me Y/n... You did so well out there.. I am so glad to have taught you what I know."
His brown eyes were soft, his own tears shedding a bit.
NO I DON'T WANT TO LEAVE..! You yelled at the timer.
14 secs.
You looked at your friend again, "What do I do now..?"
"Take my place... You've proven yourself to be the right leader for them... You are the new Gameboy.." he smiled softly.
You took a gasping breath in attempt to calm down, "I'll make you proud."
"Y/n... I'm already proud.."
You smiled, tears coming again as Cosmo began to fade with the timer.
"You'll do well Y/n... The new Gameboy... Go on and continue your adventure... Do not end it here. "
You closed your eyes, hugging his fading form one last time...
