"Grace it's Liam!" Mason sprints around the corner alarming me with his words. I close my locker and let my bag fall to the ground.
"What do you mean? What's wrong with Liam?" He doesn't explain it to me he just grabs my wrist and starts to sprint again.
He drags me down toward the boys locker room and my eyes widen but luckily there's no one in there.
I hear water rushing against the floor and pull my wrist out of Mason's knowing what water means.
I rush over toward the showers and see Liam sitting under a water stream his hands balled up into fist his head down.
Since Scott turned him his aggression has become much higher and it happens more often.
"Liam." I call out softly and let myself fall in front of my best friend. He looks up at me his eyes glowing yellow when he tries to push himself away from me.
"You need to leave Grace! I don't wanna hurt you." He presses and I shake my head.
Leave him by himself? You can see how much Mason helped him.
"I'm not going to leave are you crazy. Didn't Scott tell you something to calm your nerves down." I ask him stressed. He groans and pushes his claws into his skin making blood ooze out of his fists. I quickly grab onto his hands and he looks back up at me. "He told me about a mantra that I have to repeat. Alpha, Beta, Omega."
"Okay then we're going to repeat it together alright? I'm going first and you just have to say what I say?" He let's out a harsh breath but gives me a small nod.
"Alpha." I say and he repeats after me.
"Beta."
"Omega."

We do this three times but it doesn't help him and my heart beat is so loud in my ears that I'm sure he can hear it. Fangs build at his teeth and he growls.
"Grace leave! It doesn't work it never works."

"If I'm going to leave you're not going to get better Liam. Scott said something about an anchor right? Try to think about something that makes you happy Liam-" he interrupts my sentence with a low growl and his eyes are on his hands again.
I'm soaking wet and my teeth start to chatter because I'm getting cold.
I put my hands against his cheeks to make him look me in the eyes.
"Think of Lacrosse. Of your step dad. Your mom anything!"
His breathing hyperventilates and I overreact impulsively pushing my lips against his.
I squint my eyes shut and now my hair is soaked as well.
But that doesn't matter in this moment. What matters is that I'm kissing my best friend right now.
His breathing finally slows down and I feel his lips push back against mine his hands placing themselves against my waist.
I part our lips and take a step back. When Liam opens his eyes the familiar light blue color shines back at me.
"How-how did you do that?" He asks me softly.
My cheeks flush and I put my hands above us turning the water down.
"How did I do what?"

"I'm not angry anymore because of you. Nothing could ever calm me down." He says a fascinated look in his eyes.
"I don't know..I just did what I think was right."

"It felt damn right." He says and my heart jumps. We stand up and he grabs my waist pushing me back against him. I let out a small squeal which is halfway swallowed by Liam attaching his lips back against mine.
This time it's not a kiss to calm him down. It's a kiss that makes my stomach feel light and my knees wobble.
We part again breathless.
"Maybe I need to have this breakdowns more often." He mutters his eyes gleaming.
"God no, I kiss you more if you'd stop getting angry." He grins at me making my cheeks flush again.
"Think I can handle that." He says giving my waist a small squeeze and leaning in for another kiss.
What the hell just happened.
