"You still going to eat this?" Ron mumbles with his mouth full of mashed potato as he points at my unfinished dinner plate. I shake my head no and push the plate over to him while Hermione looks at him half disgusted half like he's going crazy.
"How are you doing with your task Harry?" I ask the boy sitting beside me. He hasn't said a whole word during dinner and I think this triwizard tournament is really making him worry. No wonders he's such a young boy I don't even know why Dumbledore lets him take place in the tournament.
"Not really well." He mumbles tracing the wooden pattern on the table with his finger. I frown at him because I really feel sorry. I gives his hand a quick squeeze to tell him that he's not alone and his green eyes look up at me intensely. My eyes wander around the hall on instinct and  I'm met with a pair of grey eyes.
"Did you ask Diggory for help?" I say my eyes not leaving the ones of the hufflepuff who's still staring at me.
Harry scoffs and I break the eye contact looking at him surprised.
"Why should I ask him? His friends are wearing buttons that literally say 'Potter stinks'" my eyebrows furrow angrily at his statement.
"Don't let them get to you Harry they're idiots. I'm going to the library later with you and we're going to find out about this golden egg." Hermione pipes up and I nod agreeing to helping him. I kick Rons leg under the table who's still munching on his dinner.
"Ow. What was that for?" He asks me and I nod my head towards Harry so he says some encouraging words to his best friend.
"How's the task going Harry?" Ron asks and I groan letting my head fall on the table instantly.
"You're such an idiot Ron." Hermione scolds him but to my surprise Harry lets out a small laugh making me sit up straight again. A smile stretches out on my lips because I'm happy that Harry's worried state is gone even if it's just for a moment.

My eyes catch some movement in the corner of my eye and I watch Cedric rush out of the great hall with some friends following him.

"Who are you going to the ball with?" I ask Hermione as we make our way to the library with Harry. This seems to catch his attention and he looks up from the ground an expectant look on his face. Hermiones  cheeks flush in a rosy red and I chuckle at her embarrassed expression.
"With someone.." she mumbles and I nudge her shoulder lightly with mine. I look over to Harry who has a smile on his lips as well.
"And you chosen one? Still not asked Cho to go with you." Now it's his turn to blush at my statement and I let out a loud laugh.
"You two are too cute you know that." I tell them. They join my laughter and we step into the library earning a glare from Madam Pince.
Bloody hell, chill.

We part our ways to find a book about animals and eggs faster. While I let my hand glide over the spines of the many books I hear someone step in the same line I am in.
"Rosie." An unfamiliar voice says and I turn around surprised. I muster the handsome boy in front of me his hands pushed into his pant pockets while he steps closer to me. "Diggory." I greet him with a nod when my eyes are stuck on the small button on his robe, Harry told me about. "Nice." I say sarcastically and his eyes follow mine before he takes it off quickly. "Sorry about that, I told my friends to let him be but they won't listen to me."

"Sure." I say crossing my arms.
His brows furrow at my icy statement.
"You don't believe me?"
I chuckle at his expression.
"I believe that the people who admire you, would do anything you say when you tell them seriously." I say.
"Huh." He mumbles and looks at the ground in shame. I uncross my arms again because I feel guilty now.
"Sorry." I tell him on instinct even though I know that these buttons are total bullshit.
His face snaps up to me and he gives me a small smirk, his grey eyes shining. Huh, now I kinda see what all the girls are talking about.
Wow Rosie, we're not going there.

"So did you want anything special?" I ask him and turn back to the books trying to find one that fits the task.
"Yeah actually I wanted to ask you something but that can wait. What are you searching for?" I give him a quick glance when he steps beside me a genuine smile on his lips.
"I'm helping Harry with his task, you wouldn't know anything about this golden egg would you?" I ask him giving him a sweet smile.
He props one hand on the desk beside us a grin forming on his lips.
"Maybe I do." Now I turn my body fully towards him and look up at him expectantly. I raise my brows for him to continue but he doesn't.
"You know the prefect bathroom?" He asks after staring at me intensely. His eyes make me nervous and I take a step back because we're standing to close in my opinion. I nod at his question.
"Tell Potter to take a little swim, at best with the egg." He says and my eyes widen in understanding.
"It has to do with water." I mumble out loud in thought. But the only water near Hogwarts is the black lake.
I'll try to sort this out later.
"Thank you." I tell him already turning around to search for Harry and Hermione but his voice stops me.
"Wait!" I turn around hoping that Madam
Pince didn't hear him because I think she's one step away from kicking me out.
"Is there more?" I ask him curiously. His already red cheeks flush even more now.
"I just wondered if you maybe wanted to go to the Yule ball with me?" His lips forming that charming smile again.
Wait did he really ask me to the Yule ball?
"Me?" I ask again totally dumbfounded. My heart beat starts to race and my hands get all sweaty. By Merlins beard I never felt this way maybe I'm going to be sick?

"Yeah you." I look back up into his grey eyes and give him a small nod.
"Yeah, sure why not.."
He instantly relaxes at my words and the smile forms again.
"Fantastic! Maybe I'll see you tomorrow, at the task for the triwizard tournament?" He asks and I nod still not really comprehending anything.
"Yeah I was gonna be there anyways to watch Harry." I give him one last smile and dash out of the line to rush towards Harry and Hermione.
After minutes of running around I reach them out of breath.
"Bloody hell Rosie whats going on?" Hermione asks me worried as I place my hands on my knees trying to catch my breath.

"Cedric Diggory just asked me to the Yule
Ball! I don't know what's wrong with me I'm so hot and my hands are all sweaty I think I have a fever!" I exclaim and place Hermiones hand against my forehead making her chuckle.
"Wait Cedric asked you?" Harry asks in surprise and I nod.
"Oh! He said you should go into the prefect bathroom and take a swim with the egg." I totally forgot about that.

"Nice that you tell me that this early Rosie." He says sarcastically and my lips form a pout.
"At least I figured it out."

"You didn't figure it out, Cedric did." He says a grin building on his lips.

"Oh god Diggory! I think I'm going to throw up just when I think about going with him. Maybe I have the flu." I look over to Hermione worried.
"You don't have the flu Rosie. You like Cedric!" She says laughing and my eyes widen.
Holy fuck, I like Cedric.
