I got in the car to pick up Brynn from her place as Aubrey waited at the empty Sway house.

This wasn't the first time, since this is our second year, so I knew how empty it felt in the house without the boys.

Last year I figured it would be fun to call over Aubrey and have a fun thanksgiving without any melodramatic shit from my mom and husband of the week.

And turns out, when your aren't being brought down or hit by a selfish bitch, you can actually enjoy a day for family, with proper family.

But this time, would be ten times better than the last because of Kelsey. Somehow, that smile of hers always lights up any and every dark room she'd walk in.

And her golden hair would also help with that. Everything about Kelsey, was perfect.

As I walked down the empty halls to get to her place, I noticed for the first time how quiet it could be without ten thousand girls yelling.

Shocking.

"Hey," she smiles holding a small bag which I guess had the clothes from when I told her to pack.

"You ready?" I question, taking her bag from her hands and slinging it on my right shoulder.

"Just about," she mutters under her breath as she locks her door. "Let's go?" She asks and I nod.

Imagine having to sit with the lov— I mean a girl. Having to sit with a girl that tempts you to do more than 'friends' do.

The more I realize it, my most hated word in the dictionary isn't 'lisp' anymore, it's friends.

The fucking word that comes out of Brynn's mouth when she explains what we are.

The word should be banned.

Exiled.

Terminated.

Anything really. Just to be away from that piece of shit word.

After taking a couple minutes to reach, we step in. "Wow, never thought I would see Sway house so.. peaceful," she whispers in awe.

"Only happens once a year," I smirk and lead her to the kitchen with one of my hands on her lower back.

Even if it's the least amount of touching, I'll take it.

"You didn't order the food?" I question my sister.

"No, Brynn told me to buy all they supplies and we are going to cook our own meal," she answers and I roll my eyes.

It had been a while since I had a home cooked thanksgiving meal. With the woman that birthed us being high or drunk all the time, there was no parent to feed us.

We stuck to peanut butter and jelly which I absolutely hate now due to the amount of times I've had the damn sandwich.

"Yeah, and we can bake, I haven't done that before." Brynn sweetly smiles and all the snarky comments that were about to leave my mouth regarding the home cooked meal, disappeared.

Plus, I got to finish one of her wishes.

Baking.

"Fine, let's start shall we?" I ask taking off my hoodie.

Although preparing the main course was easy as cake. Cake was not. Baking was easy, simple. But Brynn being Brynn, wanted her first time in this to be amazing.

Every time I would try to touch the bowl, my hand got swatted away, and every time I tried to touch her, my hand got swatted away.

Perfect, right?
