GET YOUR MINDS OUT OF THE GUTTER GEEZ PEOPLE

also play that song above I wanna play it one day when my friends and I are out skating when things get "normal" again or if I ever learn to skate and stop being a pussy LMAO :)

Lena made sure to slam the door as she exited the Luthor House, her head hurting from all the screaming and arguing going on between her parents and brother. Sometimes it got too much. Yeah, she'd put on headphones or turn up her speaker to blast Twentyone Pilots but she just needed an escape most of the time.

And one way she escaped was skateboarding.

Lena was a small bit of a punk-slash-emo. With her secret undercut under her hair, dark lipstick and clothes from leather jackets to ripped jeans and punk rock and alternative music, she had a nice aesthetic going on.

She connected her Airpods to and got a running start on the sidewalk before hopping on her skateboard, jumping off the curb and onto the street, carving left and right of the somewhat quiet neighborhood they lived in.

Once she reached the more popular parts of Midvale, she slid to a stop on the sidewalk, texting on her phone while she waited for the light to turn.

Lena: This just in: I'm escaping my toxic household. Again.

Soon enough, her friends respond.

Sam: We told you you could live with any of us

Alex: please, she's gonna go crazy with any of us living in the same house

The skater snorts as she keeps texting.

Lena: Skate night?

The light turns green and she pushes off, smoothly riding on the street and on the sidewalk, stopping once more when she reaches the other side.

Kara: Count us in

Winn: meet at the park then go to BBB?

Maggie: so fucking down

Lena smiles. This isn't the first time her friends had dropped any and everything to accommodate her, or just make sure she was okay. Hell, she wasn't sure what any of them were doing at the moment, but she couldn't be more grateful for them.

Lena: Meet you all there.

The Danvers sisters run down the stairs with their skateboards in hand, Kara jumping over the railing and landing next to Alex as she hits the bottom steps.

"Girls! Why so much noise—"

"We're going skating with the gang to cheer up Lena!" Kara says, grabbing her red varsity jacket and putting it on while Alex slips on her Vans, almost falling over. "We'll be back later!"

"Stay safe!" she wishes them as they leave.

With her long legs and light weight, Sam is cruising on her longboard next to Maggie on her board. It's always a mini-competition between them whenever they're cruising. So Sam curves onto the empty street and does a 180-pirouette into a Peter Pan move, moving lightly on her feet from one side of her deck to the other, getting a good carve on each step.

The other one laughs as she speeds up before doing a triple kickflip in the air, landing down on her board with a deep bend in her knees, finishing with a quick shuv it.

"I'm surprised you haven't fallen off that thing yet." They both look over their shoulder and Winn waves from his bike.

"It takes skill and balance," Sam tells him.
