It's strangely quiet on a full, monthly family day. At least, that's what Sam notices, other than the low volume of an old movie.

She looks up from her book where she sat reading it at the counter on a stool, turning around to see what her family was up to.

Ruby, was out getting food with Nia and Brainy, so they weren't in the equation. She first looked over at Kara and Lena and saw that the latter was sitting up and reading while absentmindedly stroking the blonde hair that laid in her lap as she was resting.

Sam looked to the other couch and saw Alex propped up against it, facing her, yet nodded off into sleep, her own book on top of her chest, glasses sliding down her nose.

J'onn was in a reclining chair, his glasses on the edge of his nose as he read the newspaper. Then, Winn, he was on the floor, his back against the couch Alex was on, his reading glasses on as he read code on his tablet.

"How did I not notice that most of this family wear glasses?" Sam thought aloud, gaining the attention of two.

Lena shrugged as she pushed her black, nerd rimmed glasses with the back of her hand. "Pay more attention and you might notice that Kara doesn't even need them. Neither does Mr. Martian over there."

She rolls her eyes. "Funny."

"Mine are reading," Winn says, not looking up from his device. "Not specifically needed 100% of the time."

"Mine just became apart of who I am," Kara mumbled loudly and sleepily.

"And no one rarely sees Alex in hers because she just wants to keep looking like a badass instead of a softie," Lena teases, even to the asleep Danvers.

"Hey, Lena, wanna test how accurate I can shoot your own glasses off with my eyes closed?" Alex asked, no play and all serious in her voice.

"Can we not shoot the house up into flames for once?" Sam groans. "It's finally peaceful. Just wait until-"

"We have returned!" Brainy announced as he opened the door from down the hall.

"Too late," Alex murmured, her counterpart sighing.

"It was nice while it lasted," Lena murmured when Kara shot up from her lap to eat, gusting her with a shot of wind.

"Savages," J'onn comments, flipping to the sports section.
