It's now mid August and about two weeks or so since we've heard anything from Brenda or Louis.

Nevaeh and I have decided that we are going to just not bother with them and move on. We will try and give Tina and Tom a chance and see how things go.

JoJo on the other hand has been by with little Benjamin and Isabel in as many weeks. They're both very good kids.

Today they're going to stop by and Nevaeh and I have gotten a kiddie pool so the kids can play in while we cook out. I'm sure they'll have fun.

I'm going to get ahold of Tina and Tom as well as Liam, to see if they'd like to join us. It's going to say a lot about how they respond if they do or not. We've got to see who we can trust around the kids.

Things and people we thought were good have suddenly changed so much in a matter of days it's hard to tell sometimes.

To Liam: hey, cooking out, wanna join?

To Tina: cooking out, wanna be a part of the family fun?

To Tom: cooking out, wanna be a part of the family fun?

So the invites are sent. Now we'll see if any of them will reply or join.

From Liam: yes, sounds like fun. Need anything?

To Liam: No

From Tom: Yes! Sounds good to me. Mind if I bring my girlfriend?

To Tom: I guess that's ok. Hoping you can get to know your niece and nephews a bit

From Tom: No problem I can't wait. My girlfriend is in child care ❤

From Tina: Yes! Sounds great. I love food and sun. I'm so in.

To Tina: cool, see you soon

That turned out better than I thought. Well I can't say that exactly, I'm just happy that none of them were another disappointment.

I hope this day goes well for all involved.

JoJo arrived first and this just got Char going. I mean she now had Isabel to play with. It's good to see though. We got them ready to play in their swimsuit and they were happy as can be.

All four kids now happily playing in the pool and on the swing. While I had started the fire in the grill. Brian had been keeping an eye on the kids. Nevaeh was cutting up things. JoJo was feeding the baby.

Tom then arrived with his girlfriend. He quickly introduced her to all. Her name was Dana. She was very beautiful with long wavy brown hair and bright blue eyes.

Shortly after Liam arrived. He said "sorry it took so long"

"You're fine man" I just laughed

He headed to Nevaeh and gave her a hug. "Thank you for the invite"

She just looked at him, then me and back to him"no problem Li, good to see you"

He then headed toward the kids with a child like look on his face. He then lifted one by one up and gave them each a kiss on their cheek to which they giggled. He splashed them a bit in the pool and just continued to play with them.

When then Tina arrived. She went to Nevaeh and asked if there was anything she could do to help. I have to say it made me happy to see.
Nevaeh just said "no, just go have fun"

I had to admit it was nice to see everyone together and getting along. Even though it also kinda stung not seeing the two that were at one time the closest to you and your girl.

The kids didn't really question who Tina or Tom were, because they trust that you would never let anyone near them that shouldn't be.

Tina went out and played with the kids, she was very good around them and they with her.

After we had our late lunch, Tom and Dana had played with the kids. They laughed so hard it was like music to my ears.

All in all it was one of the best days ever.
