Harry

It's Christmas time!! We hear the kids cheer.

Oh boy! It's way to early. Not that we didn't expect it. It's just that they really didn't want to lay down last night, as they wanted to see Santa come. To which Nevaeh and I had to tell them if they didn't get to bed then Santa would not come at all.

It didn't take long for them to go then, but we still needed to get everything done. The stockings and their gifts wrapped.

Needless to say we didn't get much sleep last night.

We're not moving the best this morning but we're moving. Currently I've put on the parade for them to watch for a little bit.

I'm thankful for the rest of our family and friends coming over today. It'll give us some time with adults, as well as the kids some playtime.

We had prepared as much of the dinner as possible ahead of time, so to help with the chaos.

Nevaeh was currently putting the chickens in the pans to get ready to cook. We also have a ham to make.

I gave the kids some finger size pop tarts to eat for now. It was easy.

JoJo had arrived with Isabel, Ben and Brian.

Tom, Dana, Tina and Liam all came together shortly after. Dana and Tina asking Nevaeh if there was anything they could do. It was nice to see.
Nevaeh, however told them no, and to head into the living room.

I excused myself to see what I could do, since everyone was in with the kids, they'd be just fine.

I helped her lift the pans of meat. I cut it up. She had the potatoes cooked as well as rolls in the oven.

"Harry"

"Yes"

"Can you maybe set the salad out and the butter for the rolls? I got thd rest. Just start getting the kids please"

"Of course, no problem. I love you. Can I get a kiss first though?"

I kissed her before doing what she asked. Letting the others know they could start going to the dining room.

Char asked "daddy when can we get presents?"

"Oh uhm, well let's see how you eat. Then maybe after that"

"Ooh goodie" she clapped her hands, happily.

Everything went well with the dinner. Kids all ate well. While the adults I'd say were full, the kids wanted to play.

After cleaning up the kitchen a bit then we decided to go for the gift exchanges. Yes, we got our family and friends something but mainly it was about the kids.

The girls got some dress up things and baby dolls. The boys got trucks and army men. They all got some clothes as well as coloring books and bubbles.

Ugh!! I'm so glad it's over. Not that I don't love every single one of these people, it's just exhausting.

The kids are now happily playing together with their new gifts.

Here's to the next year....
