Reagan and I went for a little walk around the park and chatted until we were intruded on by her boyfriend and his friends.
"How have you been Ray?" he asked her.
"Just the way you left me," she said, they stood arm and arm and I almost gagged watching this."I had never taken you as the cringe type 'Ray'. GOSH!" I said with a monotonous tone. Two boys that were with him laughed, and so did I.
"I am Kio," said the Asian boy and I looked at the other boy to introduce himself but all he did was stare until I said, "I am Vanessa."
"Oh hi, I am Brandon," said the other guy.
"Did you forget your name?" I murmured, half hoping he hadn't heard it but all he did was smile smugly. We parted our ways after that.I thought I was done with the day but apparently, it wasn't. While going back to our dorm we saw that only Gabriella and Rose were cleaning the hall and no one was helping them.
"Don't you think we should help them?" I asked Reagan as sweetly as possible. "Now that you have said it, I have to do it," she said contemptuously.
I go and ask Gabi, "How can we be to your service madame?"
"Oh, no need, thank you but we got it all I control."
"Yeah definitely, it's not grubby at all. Sparkling clean" I said pointing towards the punch and pie mess on the floor and the dirty footsteps made because of it.She chuckles lightly, "I guess you can help Rose with the wall hangings because she is...a little short." she said lingering on the 'is'.
BRANDON
I was going forward to shoot my ball in the hoop but something else caught my eye. I am not being untruthful, but I don't get sidetracked that easily. There in front of my eyes stood the most beautiful girl I had ever seen.
The way she pushed a lock of her hair behind her ear, just Wow. Her brown eyes with a gradient of golden and black. Her long eyelashes gracefully moved when she blinked. Her not-so-long brown hair pushed into a half pony untidily just made her more appealing. Her face in the moonlight shimmered like the beach's sand. The way she moved, feminine but not formal, her body with small curves and her tall height. Her lack of makeup on the face just enhanced her features more. If only I wasn't interrupted by Ryder, I would have never stopped looking at her.
"Oh Ray, here!" he said at the girl that accompanied her from the other end of the court. He came running from the other side and Kio and I followed uncomplainingly.
Kio nudged me with his elbow and asked quietly "Why did you miss the shot mister. Got stuck by a bolt of lightning, huh?"
"I guess you could say that," I said blushing a little. You could say that this was not my usual style. She made a comment on the couple but I didn't laugh at it, seeing her laughing just made me happy and hence the laughing. Her laughing was something between feisty and shrieky but cute.
I was trying to get a close look at her and then Kio introduced himself and I didn't realize that I was supposed to introduce myself. That may have been a little embarrassing, but the dumb-stricken me still didn't understand what I was supposed to do.
And then she introduced herself, her name was Vanessa, the name had a different ring to it, and of course the way she said it. That's when I realized I was supposed to say my name and so I did.
She asked me "Did you forget your name?" and certainly she didn't want to say it as she kind of slowed down in the end.
Oh, I wanted to say something smart but all I could say was nothing, nothing at all rather I smiled maybe a little freakishly. God, my first impression wasn't that good, was it?Kio asked, "YOU really fell for her, didn't you? All that was left was for you to stutter. I thought you were smooth with women! What happened?". But all for his brave talk he didn't see Vanessa as I did and I hope he never does.
