Life couldn't get more disturbing than this
______________BRANDON
After leaving the café I ran into Christian, yes, the detective. He didn't even look like one. I mean shouldn't they look muscular and healthy and not like a prey of malnutrition. They should be able to run after the killer when they need to!
"Hi Brandon, what are you doing here?" he asks me like I am some 7-year old.
"Going back to my dorm." I say unconcerned.
"I have some questions to ask you. Can you come tomorrow?" he asks me though he knows that I didn't have an option.
"Why would I come willingly mister detective?" I say arching my eyebrows. (I do that very nicely)
"Because I can take you in handcuffs too. And let the attitude show go away." he says pissed off.
"Whatever, see you tomorrow or never!" I say giving him a fake smile. I resent this guy.
Life couldn't get more disturbing than this, the next place I go, someone would get killed so why even bother. I hope they find the killer in the near future, or they will find my dead body, I am not going back to Dallas, that is for sure, I mean I can't remember a good memory there that has not been killed yet.
I tried to sleep that night but couldn't, all that I could do was stare into nothingness, baseless thoughts came into my mind. I thought it would be around eight in the morning, but when I checked, the sun too had not come up. I changed and went down to the park for some fresh air. After laying for a couple minutes, I ran into no other than Vanessa, in her night dress too she looked absolutely gorgeous. We had a pleasant conversation.

I went to interrogation room, willingly. And there stood a middle-aged woman rather than the grumpy detective. She too was dressed like a detective, looked in her mid-thirties, she had black hair, she was rather a petite woman but her build showed that she had been doing this for a long time. She wasn't very gaily.
"Hi Mr. Cooper, I am Fiona Miller. I am going to conduct this questioning session. I was going through your file; you have some minor crimes like trespassing and speeding. The only reason you are here is that you knew the victim, and have had a conversation with her just twelve hours before her death. Why didn't you mention that to detective O'Brien?"
"I have a file? Wow that makes me feel important and he didn't ask me about the conversation and it ended rather abruptly." I say leaning back into the chair.
"If you are done feeling important, give me the details of the conversation."
"Nothing much, check up on each other, though she did say something about someone following her and she had many panic attacks in the last six months."
"Ok, someone was following her and you didn't even care about it?"
"I didn't think of it something serious or real, I mean her soulmate was murdered recently, and for all I too felt that sometimes."
Sighs, "How did you enter the west wing without key during the time of death."
"I was leaving from café, when I heard Vanessa shouting, and Kio too followed me and I entered as the door was open, I had assumed someone must have forgotten to close it."
"Is there someone to clear you for that night?"
"Umm you could check the timetable, it was really late, or wait there was Nicoletta Valencia there the whole time."
"She is your friend, I don't think that counts, but we can still check."
"Friends? Sure. That's all the alibi I have. Are we done here?" I say bored.
*********
Other than the interrogation, that day was my first normal day in the last six- seven months. Classes were the way they were supposed to be like. Ryder made them amusing. I had fun while playing basketball, and did not remember Bryce, big move on. Kio was assigned as the captain of our team that is the freshman's team. At seven, Sophia and I had our slot together.
"Hi! First day, so we are going to be work buddies?" I say starting the conversation. "Friends would be alright." she says laughing. "Definitely" I reply.
I got to know that she was a computer geek, she certainly didn't look one because of her dressing style. First time, I was meeting a girl that was always dressed enough to walk down the red carpet and could also hack into NASA's servers.
When we left around at 9:30. I saw her. The girl who took my breath away every time I laid my eyes on her.
Author's note- Where do you think is the story going, do you think that Vanessa will tell Brandon about Gabi?
