"Just you" I replied playfully.

VANESSA
I entered my dorm for the first time not knowing what to expect. The first thing I saw was a girl in complete black leather from head to toe and when I say that I'm not even kidding. Winked eyeliners, smoky eyes which don't match her light blue eyes, open long black wavy hair, and tan skin. She was tall and thin and had a lean body. I was not sure if it was the room or her but it had a minty fragrance. She was a total badass and even after all the black, she didn't look dark.
"Why do you look shocked, brunette? Did u see something? "she asked, scanning my tip to tail like I was some dish to eat
"Just you" I replied playfully. Sarcasm was something that came to me naturally.
"I like you, hi, I am Reagan Byrd," she said motioning her hand to invite me in.
"Vanessa Brooks, nice to meet you, it's a relief knowing I don't have to spend the rest of the college year with a nerdy-party pooper," I said as I walked to the empty bed near the window.
''Where you from?" she asked me.
''Greensville, South Carolina" I said trying not to remember my parents, my sister 'Alexandra', and my brother 'Noah'.
"What brings you to Austin university, brown eyes." She asked.
I said "Journalism, do you call everyone like that?"
"Just the good-looking ones" she answered smiling.
I had never thought of myself with my brown hair, brown eyes, creamy beige skin, and thin and lean body as 'good-looking'.
That afternoon most of the time we both talked to each other as we unpacked and we had clicked instantly. I got to know that she was dating a guy named 'Ryder hart' (Ryder too was in our college) and she was here to study architecture. We were similar people, definitely not by our styles (I like to wear loose shirts, tees, jeans) but the things we liked to do.
That evening around five we heard a knock at our door and Reagan went to open it (cause her bed is closer to the door). A very smiley girl; blonde hair, green eyes, straight and white teeth, she smelled of lavender and wood-an an uncanny combination; was standing with a scratchpad. "Hola chicas guapas. I am Gabriella Perez. My roommate and I stay in the dorm opposite yours. We are having a small party in our hall and are only inviting the west wing freshmen. Will you guys join us?"
Our college was huge. It had almost all the facilities. Our campus had a cafe, all fast-food restaurants and even shops of famous brands were there. There were two fancy restaurants too. The west wing is the girls' dorm and the east wing is of boys. Freshmen lived on the first floor and seniors on the fourth. Each floor had a hall which could be used for anything we wanted.
"Hi I am Vanessa and this is Reagan, we will come. Thanks for inviting." I said.
As Gabriella closed the door Reagan hit me with a pillow.
"What was that for?" I asked befuddled.
Reagan answered, "You just invited us to the most boring party on this entire planet".
"Oh, come on, we will just show our faces and meet girls. And I am not going without you. You are the only person I know in this college." I said looking at her with puppy eyes.
She scornfully replied, "Fine, whatever no need to get sappy and you owe me one."
We got dressed and left for the party. I asked Reagan what she thought of Gabriella, "She looks like one of those girls who would do anything so that people would like her". That made sense I thought to myself.
As we reached there, we were greeted by Gabriella. "Thanks for calling us," I said to her.
She replied "Of course and please call me Gabi everyone does. This is my roommate 'Rose Dankworth.'" She was a petite girl and had curly hair and alluring eyes. She looked very sweet. Her voice was silvery. Though she was smiling she didn't look happy.
"Hi, Gabi told me about you guys. Glad to meet u." Reagan replied same here and we went on to see if there was actually something amusing there to do.
While we were dancing, I unintentionally spilled a drink on a girl named Nicoletta Valencia. She was the proper definition of an attention-seeking girl. I apologized to her three times and she was a total jerk about it.
"Oh my god, how could you. This was my new dress and I bought it from Chanel today itself, how can someone be so insensitive," she said dramatically.
"I got my clothes from Target but I still look better than you. You know what I am not sorry for pouring that drink. You deserved it." I said mimicking her and you won't believe what she did next.
She poured her drink on me. All I had done was got a little stain on her 'Chanel dress' and she had soaked me drenching wet. This girl was unbelievable.
"Oh, you did not!" I said smirking. The next thing I did I did not regret; I smashed an apple pie in her stupid face. It was the best thing I had ever done. I thought 'that' was crazy but I had no idea what my fate had decided for me.
Reagan and I went back to our dorm and I got changed, and we headed to the park as we both didn't want to go near that party or that Nicoletta.
