Just made her more attractive.
_______________________________BRANDON
The jeep ride was not as awkward as I thought it was going to be. When I pulled up first, she didn't even recognize me but I didn't mention it. She complimented me. Never felt so good. She once said something about me not noticing her before and 'you have no idea' came out of my mouth, not at all intentionally. It was not loud so I don't think she heard me.
She was very strong person. The way she was telling me about her childhood without a tear or any hesitation, just made her more attractive.
"Just adrenaline. I am kind of thankful that I got to know, it has taught me some good lessons. I told you, Reagan also does not know, so now your turn." she said.
"Well, I am glad you were comfortable sharing that with me."
"Me too." she said and gave her a smile. I think we had a moment there. I couldn't really tell; it was too small.
"Ok, my turn I suppose. So, I have been playing basketball since I was five. I had a couple basketball buddies but I wasn't close to them. Rose was my best friend till freshman year but then Bryce and her started dating so I stepped back."
"Yikes! I had no idea you were best friends with Rose."
"Hmm, so later I started hanging out with my basketball buddies. Disclaimer: I wasn't very popular at this point but I was getting there." I said laughing and Vanessa joined in.
"I want to know what happens next." she said.
"So, start of junior year, I proposed to this girl, she was one of my team member's sister. She was my age only. She was not very popular, but I didn't mind, mainly because before even we had met, I used to get teased with her a lot. To be honest, I never felt anything for her."
"Why did you propose to her then?" Vanessa asked.
"Don't judge me, but I wanted what Bryce and Rose had with someone too."
"Oh! Continue."
"End of junior year, we are still dating, we both are that couple everyone wishes to be. I started doing stuff. Let's just say stuff that sixteen-seventeen-year olds should not do. Six months later Bryce died. That girl broke up with me. My friends did not even call once to ask how I was. That's when I realized I had no real friends."
"Oh, that must have been hard."
"It was. Now let's change the topic. Wait! I don't know your birth date."
"29th January, I am an Aquarius. I am most compatible with Gemini, Aries and Libra."
"I am an Aries. 11th April."
"Really?" she asked.
"Yup."
The rest of the ride went very quiet mainly because Vanessa had dozed off. She slept so gracefully. I look like hell when I sleep.
"Have we reached?" she asked yawning.
"No, we are half an hour away."
"For how long was I sleeping."
"Forty-five minutes."
"Sorry, one of my talents is to sleep anywhere at any time."
"That's a very nice talent."
"Did I say anything weird? I talk while sleeping."
"No, I don't think so."

"So, this is where I spent my childhood." I said putting the keys into the lock of the small bungalow.
"Nice porch." She said looking away.
"Oh god! This place is a mess." I said seeing the dirty house. Clothes everywhere. The sofa moved. Lamps fallen. Books on the floor.
"What happened? Did your place get robbed? Wait did Dallas have an earthquake."
"Let's just say my mother is not the cleanest person. But I thought she had the decency of cleaning it when leaving. I am sorry, I will find a hotel right now for you to stay." I said feeling so guilty for trusting my mother.
"Don't say sorry! It's not your fault. I actually enjoy cleaning, so, I'd rather stay here and help than go and live in the hotel. And to be honest, this won't take me a lot of time to clean."
"Really?"
"I will love to."
"Thanks."
"OK! So, let's start by placing the furniture back to their position."
