ZOLA LOPEZ COULD GET ALONG WITH ANYONE as long as they were not Percy Jackson. He just rubbed her the wrong way and they always seemed to argue about the smallest things and then he would just annoy her further by smirking after their little arguments were over. She hated the way everyone seemed to admire him. Yes, he did save Olympus by preventing a civil war by returning the 'stolen' lightning bolt for Zeus, The King of Gods and also aid Clarisse, her sister in saving the camp by bringing back the Golden Fleece but Zola could not help but find him annoying.
She realised it was jealousy. She wanted to be someone great who could bring glory to the camp, siblings and get recognised by her Father but ever since Percy joined, those opportunities never came. Whenever these feelings overcame Zola she would just take out her latest Vogue Magazine and started flicking through the pages looking for some inspiration.
Zola was talented and she knew it. All the children of Aphrodite loved her for her style and they loved to get inspiration from her. Especially Valentina Diaz who was her best friend and Travis and Conner from Hermes and cabin who were her other close friends. She was nicknamed 'Fashionista', which she was fine with as she was happy to be appreciated.
Her siblings on the other hand, felt she was way too Aphrodite for their cabin as she was 'too pretty' and 'way too obsessed with clothes'. This bothered her but she never let it show as the only sibling that treated her as the others treated each other was Clarisse. Clarisse was a difficult girl to understand but after a few midnight chats and private sword fighting lessons with her, they became close and Zola loved it.
Zola had not yet put any use to her skills nor had others other than Clarisse seen how good she was with her throwing knives 'Kenós and Líthi', 'Void and Oblivion', which had been gifted to her by her father, Ares, God of War. They had a charm and always returned to her as bracelets. These knives were the only things she owned that helped her remember her father. Then again demigods rarely see their Godly parents so she has learnt not to be disappointed. Her mother on the other hand was a very busy business woman who was very rich but barely had any time for her, so before Camp Half Blood, Zola had been shipped off to multiple different boarding schools along with a huge sum of money to spend on whatever she wanted. That is how their relationship worked, it upset her but she understood that she reminded her mother way too much of her father. So distance was better.
