The girl admired the stars above her, basking in the glow. She connected constellations and wondered if the little dots on her skin matched any, she dragged her fingers along her cheek as she drew out Orion's belt. She wondered if she could be the star in anyone's sky, lighting up for them even in the darkest of skies. She longed to be a star for someone, wondering if she even had a bright enough light for it. But we have calcium in our bones, iron in our veins, carbon in our souls, and nitrogen in our brains. 93 percent stardust with souls made of flames. We're all just stars with people names. We're all stars in someone's night sky, lighting up their world for them.
