There is a Chinese proverb that says that a red string of fate connects those who are supposed to meet at some point in their lives. It is said that those two people connected by the thin red string wrapped around their little finger are destined to be lovers. Their little string of fate might get tangled and stretched and beaten but it will never break. Through circumstances and time, fate will see them together in the end. A ravenette girl believed this, she believed that there was a red string connecting her to her soulmate. She thought she found the person the first time, but her string was just tangled around their fingers to manipulate it and confuse the girl. She moves on to the next only to figure out they looped the string around their own finger to make it seem like it was them, person after person she tried to find them. Over time her string had gotten tangled around her, wrapping around her arms and even her neck. The string becomes a tangled mess as she tries to find them. She met one person who made her alive and happy, she was hoping that this was the person with the string that was connected to her's, but as the person left she realized they were not the one connected to the end of the string, or maybe even if they were it would never truly work. She shakes her head as she looks down at her hands, her voice coming out broken and light. "Silly, naive little girl" the midnight eyed ravenette whispered, "there's no such thing as soulmates."
