12 ; club chaos

"aera, don't," i gritted my teeth as i stared at her with sharp eyes. she was fast-pacing through backstage with me following behind. i gripped onto her arm, making her stop. she turned her head, looking at me with a frown.

"let me go."

"not unless you don't perform. it's too dangerous," i said back, tightening my grip on her arm. aera slightly winced on my hold, making my hand immediately spring loose. i sighed before saying, "sorry, i just think it's a really bad idea. he could be out there." she stared at me but shook her head, "i'm not gunna let some freak run my life, taeby." she walked away, grabbed a mic and stepped on stage.

i sighed, watching her on stage. she received a deafening applause from the crowd. they were all thrilled to see her.

"music, cue!"

an upbeat soundtrack started playing, aera clapped to the beat along with the crowd. she partnered with the music and moved her hips, swaying her feather-like hair around while starting to sing.

"here we go, everybody!"

the audience felt exhilarated by her stage presence, wanting more and more. she moved closer to the front of the stage, touching their outstretched hands. beams of light flashed everywhere and smoke started dispersing on stage, creating a concert feel. i stood on the side of the stage, soon accompanied by gun and junsoo.

"she's so hot, everyone loves her," i heard junsoo speak to gun, "she's going to be number one, i can feel it." gun nodded, smiling as he watched her perform.

i focused back on aera... but something was wrong.

the fans started becoming too excited. the energy emitting from aera was too much for them, causing them to push, push and push. they all wanted to get close to aera. the security was struggling to retain them, they were already too close to the stage.

that's when i realised...things were about to get ugly.

i quickly analysed the situation. the fans were getting too excited. the fact that half of them was drunk didn't help either.

i had to act, and fast.

grabbing my phone, i quickly called jae, instructing him to take the limo behind the building. after receiving the confirmation, i hung up and started moving. my eyes landed on a fire extinguisher that was secured on the wall.

'perfect,' i thought, taking it out. i looked back onto the crowd then towards aera.

i started counting down.

five.

aera continued singing while the crowd became more violent, trying to get through the security.

four.

the crazed fans managed to push the security aside.

three.

they neared the edge of the stage, coming closer to aera.

two.

the fans jumped onto stage. aera's eyes grew in fear as they raced towards her.

one.

they finally seized her, grabbing her arms and pushing off stage. she landed on top of the screaming fans. they carried her thinking it was part of the show. the singer let out a scream when they dropped her. her body landed on the ground with a thud.

my eyes widened as fans started ripping her apart, taking anything they could find. her pearl necklace was torn off, one of her shoes was missing, her clothes was ripped into shreds. aera covered her face with her hands, screaming at the top of her lungs. gun and junsoo got panicked, they tried pushing through the crowd towards her laying body.

it was my time to act.

i pulled the needle out of the fire extinguisher, the white form sprayed all over the crowd. everyone started slipping onto each other, collapsing to the ground. some of them started yelling in my direction, but once i aimed the extinguisher again, they quietened down.

now's my chance.

i dropped the extinguisher and sprinted towards aera. there was too many impulsive people in the way so i had to push and shove them away. many got angry and tried throwing a punch at me, i dodge and brought them down. nothing was going to stop me from saving aera.

my eyes scanned everywhere for her. i felt a slight wave of relief when i finally found her. but..my blood started to boil at the sight of her. aera was lying there with tears in her eyes. she was virtually violated in every part of her body.

wasting no time, i stepped beside her and pulled her arm over my shoulder. she looked up at me as i carried her from beneath her legs. i quickly dashed towards the exit.

i walked where jae parked the limo. he opened the door as i quickly got inside with aera. jae closed the door and hastily ran back in the driver's seat. "jae, go!" i yelled when i saw fans scrambling towards the limo. he started the engine and drove off. we escaped through the alleyway and onto the main road.

finally..she was safe.

i looked down at aera, she tightly clutched on my suit. i sighed, knowing how scary it must have been for her. taking my jacket off, i wrapped it around her trembling figure.

"it's been a long night," i muttered, gently wrapping my arms around her.

we continued to drive in silence till we reached home. that was when i realised how quiet everything was. it was too quiet. i turned to look around the limo, eyeing the empty seats.

oh shit.

i left junsoo and gun at the club.
