Chapter 7 - Derek

I was sitting in my office checking the records and data. I have to make the corrections on these documents today before my meeting with Mr. Smith. It's not my work it's my secretary's which I don't have right now but I know Rachel would send someone today. Thinking of the secretary, I hoped I'd get a good one this time who is not lazy and dull but hardworking and efficient.
Rachel didn't say much about her and not knowing anything is really annoying.

There were a lot of works and meetings which could have been done if my previous secretary wasn't so fucking lazy.

I was going through the documents when I heard someone knocking on my door. That might be the new secretary because no one comes to this floor without informing me except my fucking friends who just barged in here and my sister, who does the same but not like them.

Here it goes. I sighed heavily.

"Come in," I said without looking up. I heard the clicking of the heels and closing of the door then it stops in front of my desk.

"Good morning Mr. Black" I know that voice I jerked up my head so fast I thought I might have an spasm. There she was the beautiful woman looking at me with her sapphire blue eyes which looked even darker blue with the light that's falling on her face through the window, she looked like an angel. She is wearing a light blue shirt black pants and her hair is tied up. She is looking like a sexy librarian I felt like someone knocked the breath out of me. I straightened my posture I became so lost that I forgot to ask why she was here. Was she here to meet me which was highly doubtful. So, let's find out.

"Good morning Emma. How may I help you? But first please have a seat." I point to the black leather chair next to her.

"Thank You." She sat on it. "Rachel hired me for you." I could tell she was nervous with the way she was playing with her hands on her lap. So, this was the secretary my sister seemed so confident about. Isn't it too much of a coincidence?

"So, you are the new secretary?" I asked leaning a bit with my hands on the desk.

"Yes, I am. Rachel said you would tell me about the work and everything that I have to do." So direct. I smiled.

"I will. But first tell me something about yourself. I mean you are going t o work for me so it's kind of mandatory." I want to know her but I have to make her feel comfortable first if I want her to work for me for a long time.

"I guess so." She said looking at me.

"We haven't met officially," I said, taking my hands out at her. "I am Derek Black."

"Emmalin Grey but you can call me Emma" She took my hands and I felt the same spark that made me feel things I had never felt before.

"So, Emma tell me about yourself." She swallowed and looked at me.

"I am from Michigan I graduated from there and I have never worked before. I know I am not an experienced person for this job but I can assure you that I will do my best and try not to give you a chance to complain about anything." I guess my sister told her everything about me. I hoped she didn't scare her.

"How old are you?" I asked casually but I want to know out of curiosity.

"I am 22." She looks younger than her actual age but 22 is not so bad right. I am 30 and she is eight years younger than me. I hope age doesn't matter to her. It's not like I am thinking about the future or anything but I would be lying if I say I don't want a taste of her. It will be hard for me if she works here but she will be here with me. Now she is looking at me like I am some creep. I cleared my throat.

"It's good to know. You moved here recently right, may I know why?" I asked genuinely, but I am more than curious. She suddenly looked white as a ghost like I found out her deepest secret. Did I say something wrong?
