Chapter 3 - Derek

The same day..

It's already 1:30 pm, my plane just landed and I was getting late for my 3 O'clock meeting which I did not know I had until now because my so-called secretary, Monica forgot to mention that to me. I was so annoyed with her that I wanted to fire her but I couldn't because then I would have to find a new one and I didn't have time for that.

I knew I could ask someone to hire one for me but I couldn't because I had changed 4 in a month and Monica is the 5th one and my sister who handled all the interviews in the company would eat me alive. In my defense, I was a very particular person I wanted everything done in a period and didn't like things messy, was that so hard for people to understand. I sighed irritatingly.

Finally, I exited the airport and was on my way to the parking area where Taylor, my driver was waiting for me.

He had been with us ever since we built BMJ, Black, Mathews & Johansson's, Enterprises. I and my childhood friends, Colton Mathews and Andrew Johansson built this Empire 8 years ago when I was 22, and Colt and Drew were 21. I knew we were pretty young when we started, but we were smart, and we wanted to make our own name.

I was in the parking lot when someone bumped into me. I was already annoyed with my secretary, and now this girl couldn't even see where she was going.

What's wrong with everyone? Can't they be a little bit attentive?

I was now infuriated that I was going to yell at her until I heard her.

"I am sorry," she said, her voice was so soothing it automatically calmed me down then I looked down at her. She was looking for someone maybe her boyfriend. Does she have a boyfriend? I wanted to know I didn't know why, but I was curious.

"It's OK," I said looking at her waiting for her to look up at me, and when she did something struck in me like a magnetic flow, it became hard for me to breathe because her chocolatey scent made me hard, she was so beautiful with her white and pink skin she wasn't wearing any make-up which made her look younger. She was 5'2 that made her reach up to my chest her lips were pink and looked so soft I wanted to make sure if it's as soft as it looked, but I had to control or else she'd run away and wouldn't even look at my way.

She was wearing a blue top and a black belly pants which covered everything and I wanted to find out the thing she was hiding inside it. Her top accentuated her sapphire blue eyes, but there was so much sadness in them that I wanted to erase all her grieves and that pulled me towards her even more.

"Is everything alright?" I asked, looking in her eyes.

"N-No, I mean yes everything is alright," she said nervously, I wanted to ask her more but i knew she wouldn't tell me.

"Are you new in here?" I asked, she seemed lost she was looking here and their like she was observing her surrounding.

"Yes, it's my first time here. But how did you know?" She asked confusingly, I knew she'd run away with all my creepiness, but I couldn't help it.

"Because you look lost. Are you waiting for someone?" I heard her sighed, and I was going to say something when my phone rang. It was my secretary I sighed and picked up.

"Now, what Monica?" I said irritatingly.

"Nothing, Mr. Black, I called to know where you are, it's already 2, and you are not in office yet," she stated, and that made me infuriated more.

"I am on my way but if Mr. Steves comes before me, ask him to wait and do not let him go. Do you understand me?"

"Yes, Mr. Black, i will hold him till you come."
