After a long meeting, I reached home at 1:00 AM, thinking of just going to sleep the moment I enter.
Damn, heels are a nightmare sometimes.
After changing to comfortable clothes, I went to the kitchen to get a glass of water, while checking my phone.
Ryan:
Are you home?
I smiled.
Me:
Yes. What about you?
Ryan:
Yes, I'm home too. Miss you already.
Me:
Stop being cheesy.
Ryan:
Okay, cupcake. I know you love it.
Me:
Oh, please, I don't.
Ryan:
Liar liar. Okay, good night. Stay safe.
I hear a rustling noise behind me. Confused, I turn around instinctively.
Chloe, you're being paranoid.
I calm down and make my way to my room.
And then all of a sudden, I feel a ringing sound in my ear and a shooting pain in my head.
