"Mom!" Arthit's voice bellowed inside the apartment. He was yet to leave for school that morning. Wayo had been picked up by one of Kongpob's sisters, Kristine who was happy to babysit her nephew on her day off. Arthur had a doctor's appointment later in the day.

"Gods!" Art sighed as he approached the kitchen where his son was standing. "You sound like someone's after you. What is it?"

Arthit pointed at the empty kitchen island. "My pink milk?"

Arthur almost burst out laughing over his son's childishness. "You're forgetting you're not the only pink milk monster in the house."

"You mean--

"Yeah," Art cut him off. "Kristine took it for Wayo. You know just in case."

"Ugh," Arthit groaned as he began to leave the kitchen. "Too much sugar isn't good for my son, Mom. Let's not get him used to that."

"Like I could stop him. He got all that from you."

"But I'm a grown up," Arthit argued as he slipped his messenger bag on his shoulder.

"Yeah, sure." Art couldn't help but throw a playful glance at his son as he followed his movements to the living room. "Go before you're late. And don't stay up late for to plan for the trip of your whatever, hazing gang."

"It's not a gang, mother."

"Sure. And be sure to support my son-in-law on his competition. That's at the end of the week, right?"

Arthit nodded. "Gotta go mom. See you tonight.'

"Okay. Love you!" Art said aloud before Arthit could close the door completely. He shook his head, amused over his son's actions.

Arthit went to school with Knott that morning. He tried to understand that Kongpob would be very busy for the rest of the week so he accepted Knott's offer to carpool with him.

"Why couldn't you just accept your godfather's gift?" Knott asked on their way to their building. "It's a car. I would take it if I were you."

Arthit huffed as he stopped right outside the lobby. Shaking his head, he told Knott, "People are already gossiping about me being his illegitimate son. If I take the car which is by the way an expensive one, the rumors are just gonna skyrocket."

"Who cares about the rumors," Knott remarked. "They'll die down eventually. And besides, Mr. Vongviphan has people who take care of this stuff. You know, rumors."

Arthit just shook his head, dropping the conversation by not saying anything anymore.

It's true that rumors about his relationship with his godfather often disappeared soon as it would arise. Still, Arthit thought he would like to buy his own car with his own money. He's surrounded by people with wealth but instead of getting jealous over his fiance's fortune or his godfather's empire, Arthit is humbled.

The young omega strived to achieve his goals in life on his own feet. In the eyes of most people, being an omega means you're weak. However, for Arthit and his mother, that is not the case. Now that he has a son of his own, being stronger and motivated to reach for one's dreams have been part of Arthit's core.

"You guys came together?" Bright asked Arthit and Knott soon as they arrived on their first class, an elective.

"Kongpob is busy, you know," Toota said as he took his seat next to Bright. Knott and Arthit sat behind them.
