Wayo was having the best day as he and his mother explored the local zoo. He particularly loved the wolves' den. The pair of wolves was the new addition and the three year old was instantly their biggest fan.

"Papa!" The boy called as he pointed the two wolves staring at him.

Arthit scooped his son off the floor, hugging him close to his chest. The animals were in their safety enclosures but the young mother still had the scare after seeing his son at the hospital. The fear may never leave his mind and heart and for now, he will be keeping his baby as close as he could.

Wayo loved the warmth of his mother as he enjoyed the view of the animals in front of him. He was happy.

"Should we get ice cream now?" Arthit asked. "You wanted some, right?"

"Uh!" Wayo nodded excitedly. "Lemon!"

"That's right." Arthit agreed. "Lemon flavored ice cream."

"Yey!" Wayo clapped his last little hands; he was excited.

Kongpob went to the university with a heavy heart knowing he was missing a day with his family. He would have loved to go with them to the zoo but knowing Arthit might still be cold to him, it was better he stated away. In the least, he could have sent them there but it was the opposite way to the university.

All morning, Kongpob dwelt on the fact that he had missed a few things when it comes to his son. He could blame himself but Arthur have warned him about it. "Don't ever feel inadequate at times when you can't be there for Wayo. Even for Arthit. So long as you didn't do it purposely. You're a good kid, Kongpob. A very good father and lover to my son. Don't ever forget that."

Those words consoled the young alpha for the rest of the day. His dejection would surface from time to time but he would just hang on to his son's happy face once the week was over and his duties at the university were fulfilled. He promised to win the contest for his son and his omega so he was doing his best to deliver the best performance on the big night.

"Are you alright?" One of Kongpob's seniors asked him half way through their rehearsals that afternoon.

"H-Huh?" The alpha raised his head from looking down on his shoes. He was standing with his back against the wall of the practice room, his hand clutching on his phone.

"You've been distracted today," Sachai, the second year chemical engineering student commented as she peered into the freshman's eyes. Sachai was one of the upperclassmen supervising their dance rehearsals. She was a runner up during the previous competition.

"Oh, it's nothing." Kongpob forced a smile as he gripped on his phone. He was hoping Arthit would send him even just a single photo. They would be home by now but the omega hadn't sent him a thing.

Sachai gave the young alpha a doubtful look. These past couple of weeks, she has acquainted herself with the first years. She learned to read their moods which was not intentional in her part. Kongpob in particular has caught her attention. "I know there's something. I know that look. Anyway, whatever it is, you'll figure something out."

Kongpob nodded , pressing his lips together.

Unbeknownst to the two, three freshman college from engineering saw the exchange between Kongpob and the senior.

"I knew it!" One girl exclaimed as she slumped down on the pavement and hiding behind the bushes. Her nose flaired at the jealousy she felt. She and her two other friends were looking over at the rehearsals through the clear glass windows of the room.
