'What's your address?' is all the text read. He hadn't talked to me in fucking days and the first thing he asks is what my address is? I'm not responding right now, he'll also have to wait days for a response like I did. My phone beeped again and it was another text from Asher. 'I swear to fucking god if you don't respond with your address, I'm going to absolutely lose my shit.' That was such an aggressive text. Is he mad at me? What the hell did I do? I end up replying with my address. I won't be home until later this afternoon because I planned on going to the gym after school to get a workout in.
I walk back inside the school and make my way to Spanish, the class I have after lunch. I don't really pay attention in class at all. I can't help but think about what Asher texted me. Why was he so aggressive? Did I do something? I can't think of anything I did for him to be mad at me about. Anything he knows about at least. I don't know why he's ignoring me. Why did he want my address? Is he gonna mail me a fucking postcard or something? All throughout Spanish class, my mind races with different scenarios of what'll happen. The bell finally rings, causing me to jump out of my seat, go straight to my locker and make my way to PE.
After changing into my PE uniform, I walk out of the locker rooms and walk towards Nat and Cam.
"What are your after school plans?" Nat asks me when I reach them.
"I was just planning on going to the gym to punch some shit." I respond.
"Sounds... violent."
"Sounds fucking fun. I should join you if that's cool." Cam interjects.
"Sure, I could use a workout buddy. Meet at that gym near my place right after school?"
"I'll meet you there. Prepare to get your ass beat."
"Who ever said anything about fighting? I thought we were just gonna punch a few sandbags."
"I said we'd be fighting. I wanna see just how good of a right hook you've got." He starts punching at the air.
"Stop doing that. You're embarrassing yourself, Cameron."
"I know you did not just use my full name. Just for that I won't be taking it easy on you."
"Bullshit. I'll fucking win and we both know that." Nat is watching this conversation with a little smile on her face and her eyes focused on Cam. "Nat, come with us."
"I'll pass. I don't think punching would really be my thing. But after, you have to come to my house. Abby'll be there and we need a serious girl talk."
"Are we painting our nails and having pillow fights?" Of course Cam had to add a fucking comment. Before I get the opportunity, Nat slaps his arm.
"Shut up, Cameron."
"Aw, Nat. Not the full name, come on." He pouts at her.
"I'll be there, Nat." I tell her.
"Perfect! We have a lot of catching up to do." She skips away towards her other group of friends.
"Are you two dating yet?" I look at Cam with a knowing face.
"I'm asking her to be my girlfriend tomorrow night. We're going on a date and she definitely deserves a grand gesture."
"That's sweet, Cam. You're lucky to have her. And maybe, she might just be lucky to have you."
"Thanks, Brooke. I know I'm lucky to hopefully have her." He smiles and looks over at her talking with her friends.
"Does she know you're in the bloodhounds?"
"No, not yet. I want to tell her eventually, though. I trust her a lot and I don't want to be keeping secrets from her. No one should keep huge secrets from one another in a... relationship? Almost-relationship? Whatever the fuck we have, I don't want to keep shit from her." That's exactly what I'm doing with Asher.
